Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Pre Orders Heat Up With Verizon’s New Offer

Updated on

The Galaxy Note 8 is now officially revealed and available for pre order. Of course, there wasn’t much we didn’t know about the device thanks to leaks all summer long that literally continued until the official launch event. Now that the reveal is done and over with; the leaks are done and the deals have begun. Samsung Galaxy Note 8 pre orders are open at major carriers and the offers are pretty enticing if you’re looking at picking up Samsung’s newest flagship device.

Verizon has shown their cards and offered up a pretty nice deal for those who want to be the first to own the Galaxy Note 8. Their offer is one of the best for Samsung Galaxy Note 8 pre orders. If you go to Verizon for your Galaxy Note 8, you can save up to 50% off the cost of the device with an eligible trade in. Of course, there is some fine print to comb through. The trade in savings are spread out over two years. Basically you save money on your monthly payments rather than getting all the money up front. Still, if you’re looking at doing a two year agreement to get the Galaxy Note 8 then that’s not a bad deal. Of course, there is the “up to” wording in there. You can save “up to” 50% off the price of the Galaxy Note 8. Presumably, to get that 50% off, you have to trade in a pretty decent smartphone. Your old flip phone in your junk drawer probably won’t do the trick. This is a device that retails for $960, after all. Still, even with the fine print, this is one of the best deals for Samsung Galaxy Note 8 pre orders.

Plus, the above deal is in addition to the offer from Samsung for people who pre order the Galaxy Note 8. All Samsung Galaxy Note 8 pre orders and purchases that are registered online with Samsung prior to September 24th are eligible for some pretty nice bonus gifts. Early adopters will get to choose between a free Gear 360 Camera or a Galaxy Foundation Kit that includes Samsung’s convertible wireless charger and a 128GB SD card. Those are very nice bonuses and, if you’re thinking of getting the Galaxy Note 8, you’ll want to be sure you get your hands on a free gift to make your dollar go a little further.

Verizon’s “up to 50% off with trade in” offer is the latest in carrier offers for Samsung Galaxy Note 8 pre orders. AT&T is offering big credits for Galaxy Note 8 buyers. People who buy their device on AT&T Next and also get DirecTV will get $500 towards the purchase of a Samsung TV. Not bad if you want to upgrade your smartphone and living room at the same time. Or, if you have DirecTV and buy the Galaxy Note 8 on AT&T Next, you can get $750 toward the purchase of another Samsung Galaxy device. That offer is geared towards families and couples. Plus, there are special offers on the Galaxy Gear. People who buy the Galaxy Note 8 on a 2 year agreement can get the Gear S2 for $0.99 or the Gear S3 for $49.99.

Other carriers are offering their own specials like faster upgrades or lower upfront payments. One of the best places to get the device if you aren’t interested in a contract is Best Buy. They are offering $150 off the full retail price. Plus, if you register before September 24th you get all the Samsung bonuses just like you would if you bought through a carrier. Buying directly from Samsung allows you to spread out payments over 2 years. This is a decent option if your carrier isn’t offering any bonuses or you have a sweet bring your own device plan that you don’t want to change.

The Galaxy Note 8 is a very exciting device and definitely checks off a lot of the boxes we look for in flagship smartphones these days. The display takes design cues from the Galaxy S8 and S8+ plus with the beautiful, edge to edge Infinity Display. Bezel-less design seems to be the latest trend in the smartphone world and I, personally, love it. Of course, the S Pen is a huge unique feature that the Galaxy Note 8 offers. If you want an included stylus, there’s really no other device on the market that offers what the Galaxy Note 8 does.

Obviously the Galaxy Note 8 is a powerful device as well as a beautiful one. Underneath that body is a Snapdragon 835 chipset with 6GB of RAM. There is also 64GB of onboard storage which can be expanded with a MicroSD card. It’s nice to see that Samsung is still offering the ability to expand storage with a MicroSD card. The camera is also a huge upgrade from other smartphones on the market. With a dual camera sensor, optical image stabilization, optical zoom, and some very cool baked-in software features; the Galaxy Note 8 has one of the best (if not the best) smartphone cameras you can buy.

There’s no word yet on how well Samsung Galaxy Note 8 pre orders are going. The device is a good chunk of change which may cause some people to hold off on making a decision. However, clearly carriers are making some great offers that should entice a few people to pull the trigger. Are you going to jump on one of these Samsung Galaxy Note 8 pre orders or wait and see if anyone comes along with a better deal?
