Samsung Galaxy Note 4 May Be Thinnest Smartphone Ever [PHOTOS]

Updated on

The Galaxy Note 4 will probably be out in a matter of months, and we continue to see supposedly leaked photos of the handset. This time, the photos were posted on TK Tech News, an associate of Twitter tipster @evleaks. They show an extremely thin device. In fact, it’s so think that it could be the thinnest smartphone made so far.

Is this what the Galaxy Note 4 will look like?

As you can see, the handset in the photos has corners that are more squared-off than previous Note models, which have sported more rounded-edges similar to other members of the Galaxy S family. One thing that you might notice is that the handset appears to take some cues from Sony Corporation (NYSE:SNE) (TYO:6758)’s Xperia line of smartphones.

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (LON:BC94) (KRX:005930) has said it plans to go with a new form factor, so these photos just might show off the real Galaxy Note 4. The handset certainly looks different from previous Note models.

Other rumors about the Galaxy Note 4

We’ve heard all kinds of wild rumors about the Galaxy Note 4. Some have suggested that it will have a flexible screen, and others believe it will come in two models—one with a flexible display and one without. Most expect it to have biometric security features like the fingerprint scanner that’s on the Galaxy S5. Some are also expecting an octo-core processor and possibly a 20.7-megapixel camera.

Two different Galaxy Note 4 models have apparently appeared in AnTuTu’s benchmarking database, potentially revealing the handset’s specs. One has an Exynos chip, while the other has a chip made by QUALCOMM, Inc. (NASDAQ:QCOM). Of course the type of chip the model will have depends on the region in which it is sold. According to the benchmarks, both of the models have a high-resolution 2K display and 2 GB of RAM.

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (LON:BC94) (KRX:005930) is expected to launch the Galaxy Note 4 at the IFA show in September, just as it has in years past.
