FOX Business Network (FBN) Senior Correspondent Charlie Gasparino reports that former Federal Reserve Governor Kevin Warsh “is making the push right now internally with Romney aides and trying to get on the top list” to replace Barack Obama‘s Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner if Mitt Romney wins the presidential election in November.

On whether Kevin Warsh will become Treasury Secretary if Romney wins:

“The guy that people are talking about, who’s actually making a push. Kevin Warsh…former Fed governor. But here’s what gives him – I think gives him – it’s both a positive and a negative major player during a financial crisis, was a close associate of Ben Bernanke worked very closely with Tim Geithner when he was a New York Fed President during a financial crisis…This is the guy from what I understand, is making the push right now internally with Romney aides and trying to get on the top list. One name who made a list recently who will never become Treasury Secretary…is John Thain. John Thain will not be Treasury Secretary…Kevin Warsh has a good shot.”
