If your device is not on the list, you can’t upgrade to the iOS 10. The iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad mini 1, iPhone 4S, and iPod Touch 5th generation have lost support this year.

How to upgrade to iOS 10

If your device is compatible with the iOS 10, you’ll get an alert from Apple once the update is available. Then go to Settings > General > Software Update > iOS 10 > Install now. You can enjoy all the new features once the update is successfully installed.

Don’t forget to back up all your important data prior to installing the update, just in case things don’t go as expected. Also, make sure that there is sufficient memory and your device’s battery is at least 50% charged.
