Now that iOS 9.3.2 has been available for some time, is it possible that a jailbreak for it is available and compatible for the iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch devices? The answer to that is a simple one, no. It seems as though long gone are the day’s in which Apple would release a new version of iOS and the jailbreak community would come up with a working jailbreak in what seemed like no time. Also, it seems like gone are the days of untethered jailbreak solutions, as they too are not being pushed out at anywhere near to the speed that they once were.

TaiG and Pangu

Now, I have said this before, but as long as the likes of TaiG and Pangu still exist, there is still a thriving and active jailbreaking community. Yes, it is a community that has had to get used to living at a much more leisurely pace of late, but the important thing is that it still exists.

Going over old ground

Now in this article, I am not going to cover old ground, but to be clear there currently is no current working jailbreak for iOS 9.2, 9.2.1, 9.3 or 9.3.1. Yes, there have been people who have claimed to have produced one, such as GSMagic a few weeks back. However, he went on to claim that his solution did not work. Others have also claimed to have cracked through the barriers put into place by Apple, but yet again nothing of substance has been released to the public. Instead, these developers have preferred to keep their creations to themselves and as such snubbed the jailbreak community.

Digital Signing

If you’ve been on some long-standing holiday to some far off land with no access to the internet, then it may come as a surprise to you that Apple has increased the rate at which it no longer digitally signs older versions of iOS. And as I write this iOS 9.3 is the latest victim of this signing cull, which means that if you have a device running iOS 9.3.2 then the lowest version that you can roll back to is iOS 9.3.1.

iOS 9.3.2 Jailbreak: What's The Status?

Waiting for a Jailbreak

I have said this before, and I will say it again! If you’re waiting for a jailbreak solution, you need to be on the lowest version of iOS you can be. However, this does need to be a secure version, not one that is laden with bugs. A rule of thumb would be, of you are on say iOS 9.2.1 you should remain on it as this is the last version that has a working jailbreak available. Do Not Upgrade to iOS 9.3.2.

As it currently stands there are no jailbreak solutions on the horizon, but as usual there are a few developers who have claimed to have created some.

One developer is the well-known Italian, Luca Tedesco. Recently he claimed to have successfully jailbroken iOS 9.3.3 beta 1 (see the image below).

And in more new, Luca Tedesco is back again, but this time, he claims to have created a browser-based JailbreakMe-style jailbreak for iOS 9.3.2.

OK, now I think I should feel sorry for Luca Tedesco because Apple has managed to patch his 0day exploit in iOS 10, I mentioned this above. It worked in iOS 9.3.2. As a result of Apple doing this Tudesco has gone and done something quite unprecedented. He’s actually made his exploit public, which means that anyone with a sound understanding of how to make a jailbreak can try and do so for iOS 9.3 and iOS 9.3.3 devices.
