India’s foreign minister Sushma Swaraj took a jab at Amazon on Twitter for selling Indian flag doormats. Swaraj threatened to deny visas for the company’s employees, if the retail giant did not remove the doormats from their marketplace. According to Bloomberg, the retailer has already taken action to remove the item from their website.
We took a look on Amazon.com and could not find any Indian flag doormats but were able to find plenty of American flag doormats. We are not sure why it is considered offensive but maybe some find flags as doormats offensive to step on?
We also were interested to see if we could find a doormat for arch rival of India (Pakistan) and we did! Check it out below. One wonders if this will soon be pulled and the value of the doormat soars?
