Alexander Amosu has showcased a $26,000 black diamond Research In Motion Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) (TSE:BB)/Blackberry device. Amosu is a Nigerian born high end luxury jeweller based in the United Kingdom.

What makes the Blackberry device special?

The specifications of the phone are it is studded with 18 karat black gold and a total of 1,400 little diamonds are used to make it. The weight of the diamonds is 15carats VVS1.  The Black Diamond Blackberry will be available in a very slim crocodile case, which will be available in various colors. Additionally, the owners have the privilege to put their names or personal logos on the handsets. There are only 10 handsets of Black diamond Blackberry designed.

 Earlier creations

 Prior to this, in 2008 Amosu made a Research In Motion Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) (TSE:BB)’s Blackberry Pearl Diamond Edition. The specialty of this Pearl Handset was that it was made with the diamonds that could be studded to any other model of Blackberry when the users get bored of their Pearl handsets. The price of the phone was $88,000 and a total of 5 handsets were available.

In 2010, Amosu released another customized Research In Motion Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) (TSE:BB)/Blackberry device, which was the Amosu Curva Diamond Blackberry priced at $191,000. The Amosu Curva was studded with 4,494 VS1 diamonds, which were 28 carat diamond set in a coat of 18-karat gold. A total of 3 handsets were available of this model.


Amosu luxury is also working on Blackberry Q10 which will be studded with the 18 karat white gold and 700 VVS1 diamonds. The price of this diamond encrusted Blackberry Q10 will be kept at $31,000. The number of units made will be 25. There are many variants available like yellow, rose, silver or platinum but amongst all Diamond versions this is the one which catches the most number of eyes.
