Nokia Lumia 525 vs Lumia 520: Which One Should You Buy

Updated on

The Nokia Lumia 520 has long remained as a budget Windows Phone, but then Nokia announced Lumia 525 at the end of November last year, which is aimed to be the successor of the much popular Lumia 520. Now there’s one question that pops up to buyers – Should you buy Lumia 520 or spend more and get the newly launched Lumia 525? In this post, we’re going to answer exactly this question.

The Nokia Lumia 525 being newly launched, it is still not available in many parts of the world. For example, Lumia 525 is launched just today (Jan 7th) in India carrying a price tag of Rs. 10,399, while Lumia 520 is available at Rs. 7,900. So is the price difference justified? Well, let’s take a look at the comparison table first.

As you can see from this comparison table, both the devices share the same specs, except that the Lumia 525 comes with double RAM, i.e. 1GB of RAM compared to 512MB RAM of Lumia 520. Apart from that, you won’t find anything enticing in the newly announced Lumia 525. So if Lumia 525 is not available in your country, or priced higher than the Lumia 520 (like in India), then simply grab a Lumia 520, as you won’t be missing much.
