Which Color Of iPhone 7 Will You Choose? [POLL]

Updated on

Now that we’ve all had a few days to digest what Apple is offering us with the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, it’s time to start thinking about what color we’d like. With five to choose from, Black, Jet Black, Silver, Gold, and Rose Gold, some will find that making that decision is not going to be easy. So here’s a breakdown of each color.

Jet Black iPhone 7

The newest of the five colors available, Jet Black, is the shiny premium color that almost no one predicted before its announcement last week. However, even before any consumer gets their hands on one, Apple has suggested that users keep it in a case. Due to the Jet Black iPhone 7’s glossy nature, it will attract fingerprints and scratches. So if it’s this color variant you want, take heed and protect your device.

One last point to make about the Jet Black variety is that it is only available in the 128GB and 256GB storage options.

Black iPhone 7

Black or “matte black” as some like to call it, is nothing new to the iPhone. Originally it came as one of the only two choices, with the other being white. It was later dropped by Apple in favor of a new array of colors but is now back and looking as stunning as ever on the iPhone 7.

Some lucky individuals who were at the Apple reveal last week managed to get their hands on the device and suggest that it looks almost stealth-like. It gives off a sculptured air you just don’t get with the other colors.

iPhone 7 in Rose Gold

I can remember back when I first got my hands on a Rose Gold iPhone 5s in 2013. My first thought was of the almost jewelry-like feel it had. At that time I was the proud owner of a first-gen Galaxy Note, so I was quickly bowled over by the iPhone’s look and build quality.

Now if like me you like to look at bling now and then, maybe an iPhone 7 in Rose Gold is for you. I doubt the build quality has gotten any worse since the 5s, so I expect this color to be exquisite.

Silver iPhone 7

If you want a color that won’t collect scratches (at least not visibly) and isn’t dark, then the Silver iPhone 7 should be considered. Not only will the Silver stand out from the crowd among many a dark Android handset, but it will also give your handset a more chiseled look, showing off the Apple logo on its back and antenna lines on its anodized aluminum frame.

One downside to silver is dirt. Keep note of this if you choose it, as your device will get dirty, meaning you may have to invest in some wipes.

Gold iPhone 7

As with Rose Gold, Gold will offer you a jewelry-like look and feel but in a different way. This time with the 7, Apple has not gone for a tacky-looking yellow gold. Instead, it looks much closer to the color of champagne.

Just like the Rose Gold, the standard Gold stands out from the silver and black options, which is mainly due it being a white phone with gold accents.

Which color will you choose?

So now that we’ve had a look at the color options available, do you have an idea which one you want?
