As it always goes, the rumors of Apple’s next flagship smartphone, the iPhone 6 have started and this time it’s once again interesting to wonder how Apple’s shaping the future of iPhone, particularly in the display area. When all manufacturers are releasing smartphones with large display size, Apple has previously offered a 3.5-inch size, and now with iPhone 5S and 5C, Apple has offered a 4-inch screen size.
From the rumors of the iPhone 6, it seems like Apple will be making the phone available in two different variants, just like the iPhone 5S and 5C but this time with two different screen sizes: 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch. Now a new iPhone 6 schematic has been leaked which further hints the display size of this new offering from Apple.

This new schematic was first posted on a Chinese website and later picked up by a French blog Nowhereelse.fr, which does have a strong track record with product leaks ahead of the official launch.
This schematic shows that the length is 5.9-inches and the width comes in at 3.3-inches. This for sure is a significant difference compared to the iPhone 5S. In fact, it would even be larger than the newly released HTC One which has a display size of 5 inches. However, screen size only tells half the story, and other technical specs also need to be taken into account.
If there’s one major thing Apple could do for the iPhone 6, bumping the screen size is it. This would be the largest iPhone ever, something that seems bound to happen sooner or later. Apple hasn’t jumped into the bandwagon of launching a large sized smartphone, but it took its time, and now with the iPhone 6, Apple could be doing what it has never done – launching an iPhone with a big display size.
