Pictures that are supposedly of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus have been making their way onto the internet for a long time, and a new leak has just surfaced. In the new leak, you see both phones. To be honest, this is not the clearest picture we have seen so far. However, this image might be one of the first real images showing both devices side by side, according to Android Headlines.

Final design of the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus

In the image, the design of the smartphones actually looks similar to what we’ve seen in a number of other leaks that surfaced before, suggesting that this is the final design of the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. The two smartphones look identical in terms of the design, but the Galaxy S8 Plus (as was already known) is a little larger.

This also means that in comparison to its smaller sibling, the Plus version will probably have a larger battery capacity. The Korean company may reintroduce the feature allowing users to reduce the smartphone’s resolution to conserve battery life, notes wccftech.

The Galaxy S8, if you believe the leaked picture, will likely sport a 5.8-inch display, whereas the Plus version is expected to ship with a 6.2-inch panel. These display dimensions are not new, as several rumors have already suggested such display sizes.

What the leaked image shows

As can be seen, both smartphone devices sport really thin bezels all around with rounded corners highlighting the display. The lock key/power is placed on the right-hand side of the two devices, while the Bixby AI button and the volume rocker keys are located on the left.

In the leaked image, the displays are turned on and appear to be on Samsung’s Always On mode or something of the sort, in which only some pixels on the display are lit up. In the image, one can also notice an on-screen home button, suggesting that we will see on-screen buttons on the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus, notes Android Headlines.

Both phones will probably be launched on March 29. However, the Korean firm will likely reveal the exact release date during this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, which kicks off soon. Both devices are expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core SoC and ship with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. Samsung may also have plans to release Exynos variants of the two devices.
