The iPhone 6 isn’t expected to make its debut until later on this year but that doesn’t stop Apple fans from dreaming up possibilities. The latest concept design comes from Ran Anvi and Enrico Penello which shows a curved display, illuminated sleep-volume buttons, and illuminated Touch ID.
More predictions for the iPhone 6
The closer we get to Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s next big unveiling, the more we can expect to hear. Right now it seems that everyone has their own predictions and speculations as to what we can expect. The Wall Street Journal thinks Apple will unveil two new iPhones including a 4.7 inch model and 5 + inch model. NPD Display Search thinks two new iPhone models with better resolution displays will debut. KGI Securities’ Ming-Chi Kuo thinks the iPhone 6 will feature a screen measuring between 4.5 to 5 inches.
9-to-5 Mac reported, “Kuo pinpoints the screen increase to be between 4.5 and 5 inches. He also says that the display will continue to be based off of the in-cell touch screen technology. This display configuration, introduced with the iPhone 5, allows Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) to install thinner displays, and this means overall svelter phones. Today’s claim is not surprising given that we have heard several indications that Apple is looking to boost the size of the iPhone’s display. Earlier this year, Reuters reported that Apple is exploring larger display sizes for the iPhone, particularly in the 4.7-inch and 5.7-inch “phablet” range. The aforementioned 4.7-inch Apple displays in testing would fit the claims of Kuo.”
Apple’s next great phone could feature sapphire screens
Another big possibility for the iPhone 6 is sapphire screens. These reports were prompted by a report of Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) making a deal with GT Advanced Technologies Inc (NASDAQ:GTAT) for $578 million. GT Advanced specialized in sapphire substrate production.
For now, everything is still under speculation. Fans will have to continue to wait for the Cupertino tech giant to unveil their next great smartphone which could make debut as early as June.
