(AAPL) iOS 7 - A Host Of New Features

New iOS is simpler and easier

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has achieved the target of making iOS simpler and easier. It lessened the complications where necessary, and added new features. What will surely catch the attention of the user at first sight is the design of iOS 7. This time the apps appear a more advanced, streamlined and flatter digital aesthetic.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has not fully transformed the depth and texture of the display, but has changed the effects by making some features and menu translucent like a frosted sheet of glass. This new look adds to the beauty of the screen, giving a view into how different parts of an app are linked, and how they are separated.

New Features introduced in iOS 7

One of the new features in iOS 7 is the control center, which gives instant access to all utility apps like the clock, camera and calculator. Apple has deviated from its past trends and used LED at the back of the phone that can be accessed through a button in the control center. Control center also includes Airplane mode, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. These sorts of features were already present in Android phones.

Siri will have additional features that can be used to search on Wikipedia and Twitter, however, it is still not as good as Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG)’s Now.

In the photo section, the photos are arranged automatically according to time and place, but the new OS does not include new shared photo streams. Further, the new photo feature gives access to the number of users to share and comment on photos. However, iPhoto app already does all this.

In the newest version of iOS, apps will automatically get updated even when running in the background. This means that one need not to open the app like Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) and twitter in order to update it.

Apple acknowledged the need for change

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) did just the right thing by admitting to the fact that its highly successful hardware has turned a bit older, and it made changes to take care that it does not lose the user base due to this.

Though iOS 7 is not a perfect mobile operating system, it is level with Google’s Android in every way.
