With all the recent rumors regarding Staples’ decision to start selling Apple product, this is the long awaited confirmation people have been wanting to hear for quite some time now.

This report could be just the thing to help boosting Apple’s sales. The more stores that sell their products, the more sales they will make. Staples’ decision should also help boost their store profits in a significant way.

Unfortunately, there is no word on what Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) products they will sell in the store nor what date they will start selling the products although it may be as early as this spring.

Staples, Inc. (NASDAQ:SPLS) is one of the many chain retail stores to sell Apple products including Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. (NYSE:WMT), Target Corporation (NYSE:TGT), RadioShack Corporation (NYSE:RSH), and Best Buy Co., Inc. (NYSE:BBY). Staples Canada already sells a variety of Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) products so it was only a matter of time that Staples U.S. would jump on the bandwagon.

It’s good that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) allows big name retailers to sell their wares. Not everyone lives in big cities like New York City or San Francisco, but almost every town has retail chains like Staples, Inc. (NASDAQ:SPLS). This ensures that everyone has access to big Apple products, even folks who live in a small rural town in Kansas.
