Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) may be bringing test drives of its Model S sedan to a city near you. The company has posted a list of drive and experience events for this month on its website. The Experience events feature driving demonstrations, while the Drive events feature actual test drives of the Model S. Appointments are required for those wishing to either test drive or view a driving demonstration at the events. There’s also a grand opening at Tesla’s new location in Marietta, Ga.
Tesla covers parts of the nation
The automaker started its drive events in Scottsdale, Ariz. on Jan. 3. If you live in the Scottsdale area, there’s still time to drive one of Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA)’s Model S sedans there, as the automaker is staying until Jan. 12. Tesla goes to Houston tomorrow and will be there through Jan. 13. Next is Sunriver, Ore. and Edina, Minn. on Jan. 11.
Here’s the full list of dates for Tesla’s drive events. The times for each are listed on Tesla’s website, along with the exact location inside these cities where the events will be taking place.

Sadly, those of us in the Midwest will have to keep waiting, along with folks in the Southeast and several other states. But the schedule makes sense as Tesla is hitting up the areas where it already has a solid foothold and also some Supercharger stations.
Appointments required for Tesla’s events
Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) does request that those who are interested in attending the events submit a form to RSVP for them on its website and set up an appointment. That page can be found here. Just follow the link to the city where you want to attend the event and fill out the form.
Each event includes a 15-minute drive (either a demonstration or a test drive) over a predetermined route and a Tesla product specialist to help drivers “optimize” their time in the Model S. Prospective buyers can bring up to three guests who can ride in the back seat during the drive.
