The latest Pokemon Go update was announced just a day ago by the developer Niantic Labs, and now, the gaming giant has disclosed new additions coming to the popular mobile game that will make training at gyms for players at all levels easier.  The earlier update for the mobile game makes catching rare Pokemon easier. The game developer has not disclosed when the update is expected to roll out.

Making gym training faster and efficient

On the Pokemon Go website, the game developer explained that players will now get the option to bring six Pokemon to a friendly gym instead of just one earlier. Also the new update will allow the combat power of enemy Pokemon to be lowered temporarily during training matches to match the combat power of the training player, reports IGN.

For example, if you see a gym of the same color, then you will have a fighting chance to have a significant impact on its growth, even if your Pokemon are not as strong as the Pokemon that inhabit the gym. Semi-active players will get the ability to contribute more readily without having to spend hours leveling up their Pokemon, explains BGR.

“No matter what your level, you can now have an impact on your team’s Gym. Walk with your Buddy Pokémon to that nearby landmark and show your Team Leader that you can battle with the best!” Niantic Labs said in a post.

Updates to increase interest in Pokemon Go

Still, there is a lot we do not know about how these changes will affect the competitive aspect of the game. Nevertheless, it is a smart change from Niantic and could convince players who haven’t played in weeks to jump back in.

Pokemon Go, which had 50 times more traffic than expected at launch, is still making $2 million a day with around 700,000 people still downloading the game daily even though fervor for the game has dropped noticeably from its jaw-dropping launch.

This latest announcement comes just a day after Niantic revealed that new capture bonuses will be coming to the game, giving players a better chance of capturing rare Pokemon if they have already caught some Pokemon of the same type. No date has been released for any future update, but don’t you don’t worry. We will let you know as soon as the update arrives on Android and iOS devices.
