A new image of Samsung Galaxy F has allegedly surfaced through @evleaks, the well-known Twitter tipster. The alleged phone has a gold finish and differs from the previous surfaced images.
“Samsung Galaxy F (which is /not/ the S5 LTE-A), in glowing gold (yes, a different shade, apparently), 2014,” says the post.
Samsung Galaxy F in 2014?
The picture is titled “glowing gold” and the tipster says that the shade differs from the previously surfaced “perfect golden.” However @evleaks has not mentioned if both the shades will be shipped or just anyone of them will find a place.
As per the tipster, the handset in question is different from the supercharged S5 LTE-A. Also, the year ‘2014’ is marked on the post, suggesting the device would be available before the year-end.
The specifications of this new shade phone appear similar to the perfect golden one such as rounded corners. Samsung would position the mobile as a high-end device and it is yet not clear if the South Korean firm will opt for metal build or retain the plastic design with a metal brushed finish. The company has yet not confirmed whether it will release Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime series or other Samsung Galaxy F.
Expected specifications
Just couple of days back @evleaks stated that Samsung Galaxy F will launch in September which would be beneficial for Galaxy S5, which debuted recently, as an early launch of Galaxy F would affect the sales of Galaxy S5 along with disappointing those, who recently bought Galaxy S5.
The recent reports claimed that Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (LON:BC94) (KRX:005930) is set to replace Galaxy S5 Prime with Galaxy F to promote higher end series. The reports from Ecumenical News suggested that Galaxy S5 Prime, (or by whatever name it is called) will have some hot features than the original flagship.
On price point, Samsung Galaxy F will be priced around KRW 900,000 in South Korea, which is around £523. Including taxes it would cost somewhere around £600 in the UK, which would make it more expensive than the Galaxy S5. Samsung Galaxy F will sport a QHD 1440 x 2560 display. Rumors suggest that Galaxy F will be powered with 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor, which would be better than 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor powering the Samsung Galaxy S5.
