The OnePlus 7 launch is only a few months away. We have already seen a bunch of leaks related to the device. Now reliable tipster Steve H.McFly has teamed up with Pricebaba.com to share leaked OnePlus 7 renders and a 360-degree video showing off the phone’s design from all angles. The newly leaked OnePlus 7 renders have a front panel design similar to past leaks. The device is going to have a nearly bezel-less and notch-less design.
Check out the leaked OnePlus 7 renders
According to images shared by Steve H.McFly, the OnePlus 7 would use a popup selfie camera to ditch the display notch. The Chinese company had introduced the notch with OnePlus 6, and reduced it to a waterdrop notch on the OnePlus 6T. By opting for a pop-up selfie camera, the company would ditch the notch entirely, offering a seamless visual experience. We have already seen pop-up selfie cameras on Vivo NEX and Vivo V15 Pro.

The pop-up selfie camera houses a single lens and it doesn’t appear to accommodate any other sensors. While other Android vendors are putting dual selfie cameras on their flagship phones, OnePlus will likely stick to a single camera on the front. Ideally, a pop-up selfie camera should mean an all-screen display, but the OnePlus 7 appears to have a chin at the bottom. Anyway, the bezels are still slimmer than any OnePlus phone we’ve seen so far.
According to Pricebaba.com, the device will sport a 6.5-inch AMOLED display. The fingerprint sensor will be integrated under the display, meaning there will be no rear-mounted fingerprint reader. The alert slider and the power button are placed on the right side. The volume buttons are on the left. The USB-C port, microphone, and the speaker grille can be seen at the bottom. There is no sign of the 3.5mm headphone jack.
The leaked OnePlus 7 renders suggest the phone would measure 162.6 x 76 x 8.8mm. The camera bump is said to be the thickest area of the phone at 9.7mm. The phone is said to have an impressive 95% screen-to-body ratio despite the bottom chin. The OnePlus 7 will lack 5G support because the company will launch a separate 5G phone later this year.
The back panel looks glossy and reflective. It is made out of glass but it won’t support wireless charging. OnePlus CEO Pete Lau confirmed at the Mobile World Congress that the next OnePlus flagship would not have wireless charging because the company doesn’t feel the need for it. The device is rumored to support Warp Charge 30 fast charging, which was introduced with the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition.
On the back panel, the phone sports a vertically aligned triple camera system along with an LED sensor. It will be the first OnePlus phone to have three rear cameras. It’s unclear what function the third camera would perform, but we expect it to offer depth-sensing or wide-angle view.
Rumored OnePlus 7 specs
In terms of specs, it would run Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 855 processor with 8GB RAM. It will run the Chinese company’s custom OxygenOS skin on top of Android 9 Pie. Recent reports suggest the OnePlus 7 would also support HDR streaming. Currently, streaming services like Netflix don’t support HDR on OnePlus smartphones.
The OnePlus 7 is expected to launch sometime in May or June this year. The Chinese company traditionally refreshes its flagship line towards the end of the second quarter. In terms of pricing, OnePlus has been consistently increasing the prices of its flagship models. So, we expect the OnePlus 7 to cost more than OnePlus 6T, which was priced at $549 for the 6GB RAM variant and $629 for the 8GB version. Even if OnePlus 7 is priced at around $600, it would cost only half as much as the iPhone XS Max.
