You know what it’s like, when you’re playing iOS games, you’re putting in some extra effort to get past a certain level or trying to beat a big boss. When out of nowhere a notification alert interrupts, what could have been a glorious victory!

At the moment I’m playing the Peak brain training game on my iPhone, it’s extremely time sensitive so one moment of lost focus and that’s it the game you’re playing can be lost. So whenever I get a notification, the vibration and sound effects my concentration just enough to render the current game a none starter and I have to begin again!

A Fix for iOS Games

If you’re experiencing the same problems as me, you know how much of a pain dealing with it can be. Thankfully there is a solution, and it is a very easy fix called the “Do Not Disturb Mode” in fact this mode is so easy to enact that it is almost embarrassing to admit that I have ever had this problem in the first place.

Now if you’re not so good at following instructions, just make sure you follow each step accurately, you can even use the image below to help you and you will soon be playing your iOS games in peace.

To start with you will have to make a minor adjustment for this to work correctly. Open your iPhone or iPads settings app and navigate to the “Do not disturb” section. Now look for the “Silence” setting and change it to “Always” and if on the iPad, make sure not to change it to “Only if the iPad is locked”. This will make your device provide notifications without the noisy interruptions even when you’re not playing games.

Next all you will need to do is make sure that “Do not disturb” is turned on before you start a game. This is done by sliding your finger up from the bottom of the display to reveal the control center. If you tap the “Do not disturb” button, which is the crescent moon icon you will receive a message that says, “Do not disturb” is now on.

You can now go on and lay your game safe in the knowledge that no matter how many notifications come in or how important they may be, they cannot disturb you. So, you are now free to play for hours and improve your skills on iOS Games.
