Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Cases Suggest Curved Screen [PHOTOS]

Come early August this year, it’s likely that you will see Samsung reveal its Galaxy Note 7, but ahead of that someone spotted a number of cases for the device online at the case making Olixar website and it looks like Samsung is planning on ditching the flat-screen Note design for a Galaxy Note 7 that appears to be crafted after the Galaxy S7 with a curved Super AMOLED display.

While this is from a certainty, those that have purchased a Galaxy S7 have largely praised the device and love the curved screen it offers.

In addition to a curved-screen, the Galaxy Note 7 is expected to rock 6GB of RAM, with no less than 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded with the user of the Note’s microSD slot, an octa-core Exynos processor, IP68 certification a USB Type-C port and an iris scanner for unlocking the phone.

Seven is largely viewed as a lucky number in the west so it’s not a huge surprise that the company will be jumping from the Galaxy 5 to the Galaxy 7, something “confirmed” by Evan Blass who is often viewed as the best Samsung leaker out there and is quite often spot on with his work.

Yes I did say iris scanner for the Galaxy Note 7

Blass is claiming that in addition to the present fingerprint reader on the Galaxy 5 Note , the Galaxy 7 Note will also scan your eyes to open the device. Once iris scanners become more commonplace, expect the fingerprint reader to become a thing of the past.

The famed leaker has also “confirmed” that the Galaxy 7 Note will feature IP68 water resistance allowing you keep it submerged at a depth of five feet for about a half-an-hour.

Of course, the announcement of the Galaxy 7 Note could see these rumors to be just that, Blass has a solid reputation.

And, if all of these leaks come to fruition, Apple could be in trouble as a number of analysts are being quite cagey about expectations for the iPhone 7, which is really not expected to blow anyone away but that’s up to Apple and they may have some surprises up their sleeves still.
