Galaxy Bud users are starting to have some serious difficulties since the last update. The new Galaxy Buds connection issue is affecting users of many different devices.

The folks at PiunikaWeb spotted posts about the Galaxy Buds connection issue on multiple forums. The problem appeared after the most recent update, which was aimed at improving the Buds’ Bluetooth connection with other devices. However, it seems that instead of improving their connectivity, it has actually created a new problem.

One user reported the problem in a post on the Samsung Community Forum. The person said they have rebooted the phone and the Buds and paired and unpaired them. However, only one of the Buds connects. When they look at the Bluetooth connection settings, two devices with the same name are listed. However, both Buds don’t ever work at the same time.

Another Samsung Community Forum user said the right earbud has quit working. The left earbud is connected and at 100% battery, but the right earbud won’t connect to their phone. The person tried to reset the Galaxy Buds, disconnect and reconnect them, and clear the cache, but nothing appears to work.

It was a similar story with another Samsung Community Forum user. The person said they received the Galaxy Buds with their Note 10 Plus, and initially, the earbuds worked perfectly. However, following a Samsung Wearable update, the right earbud quit working. The U.S. resident also said they can’t register the new fast charger they received from Samsung because it registers as having been bought oversees.

At least one user said the Galaxy Buds connection issue occurs when they put their phone in their back pocket, but that didn’t happen before they updated the earbuds. Another user said the right earbud no longer charges after the update. They tried to rest the earbuds, but there is no rest button inside the app, not even under the “About” section.

Reddit users have reported similar stories about the Galaxy Buds connection issue. One Redditor said only one of the earbuds connects. The person also said they can’t update or use both of them, and the delete or reset option isn’t available. The person has tried pairing them with their phone again and with other phones, but they simply won’t connect.

While many of the posts indicate that most of the problem is with the right earbud, one Redditor said it’s actually random which of the earbuds connects. The person has tried the Galaxy Buds with both iPhones and Samsung devices and has even uninstalled and reinstalled the app.

Samsung has not yet acknowledged the Galaxy Buds connection issue, and there are no workarounds at this point. However, given how widespread the problem seems to be, we would expect a permanent fix in the form of an update before very long.
