Watch The Live Stream Of Donald Trump’s Inauguration Speech Here

Updated on

It seems Donald Trump’s presidency started unofficially with a bang last night, literally (if you don’t count the social media uproar that’s been going on for a while). His inauguration is today, but the crew behind the fireworks for last night’s pre-inauguration party either played a joke on him or messed up in one of the most high-profile flubs in a while.

Last night’s fireworks were supposed to spell “USA,” but it looked more like “USR” and immediately triggered a firestorm of social media commentary. So you can bet lots of eyes will be watching tonight looking for more opportunities to make fun of the new Commander-in-Chief, and you no longer need to be near a TV to do it. You can watch a live stream of the inauguration free. Here’s how to do it.

It all starts in about an hour

The inauguration ceremony starts today at 11:30 a.m. Eastern and is available via a live stream in multiple places. Naturally, all the big mainstream news channels such as NBC, FOX, CBS and ABC will be carrying it, both on their TV stations and their websites.

There’s also a plethora of options available on YouTube, as these news outlets and more will be working with YouTube to carry the live stream of Donald Trump’s inauguration. Among the additional choices here are Bloomberg Politics, C-SPAN, Univision, The Washington Post and USA Today, among many others. If Twitter is your preferred platform, PBS will be carrying the live stream of the inauguration on its Twitter feed.

The White House will also carry a live stream of the ceremony on its website (which is WhiteHouse.gov, for the record, not WhiteHouse.com).

Donald Trump’s inauguration in virtual reality

Those who aren’t happy with watching the standard live stream and are equipped to watch it in virtual reality can do so using USA Today’s “VRtually There” show. This live stream started at 9:30 a.m. Eastern and also covered the inaugural parade. To watch the live stream in virtual reality, strap on your VR headset and launch YouTube. Then go to USA Today’s channel. The newspaper is also making some of its VR coverage available as 360-degree video on its website for both desktop and mobile users.

This may be one of the most controversial inaugurations ever, so security forces are on high alert amid large protests that are already going on around Washington. Aside from the standard threat from terrorists, the protesters are seen as another threat because of the outrage Donald Trump’s election caused.
