BlackBerry (USA) (NASDAQ:RIMM) (TSE:RIM)’s two new models are the focus of Nokia Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:NOK)’s latest Twitter campaign as it becomes apparent that Nokia doesn’t want any smartphone makers to feel left out. The tech company made fun of Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s iPhone 5 when it first came out and then took on Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (LON:BC94) shortly before its Lumia handsets came out. Now Nokia Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:NOK) wants the world to know it doesn’t think BlackBerry (USA) (NASDAQ:RIMM) (TSE:RIM)’s new Z10 or Q10 handsets are good options for business owners.
Nokia tweeted, “Blackberries make a great snack, but for the world’s best business smartphone try a #Lumia.” The tweet features a picture of a yellow Lumia. Nokia Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:NOK) even promoted that tweet so that Twitter users who don’t follow the company might see it.

BlackBerry (USA) (NASDAQ:RIMM) (TSE:RIM) hasn’t yet responded to Nokia’s shot. At this point the two companies are grappling for the distant third spot in the smartphone market, after Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) and Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (LON:BC94)
PC Magazine did a comparison of the BlackBerry Z10 and the Nokia Lumia 920 phones. Both phones have the same processor and the same resolution, although the BlackBerry Z10’s screen is slightly smaller, at 4.2 inches compared to the 4.5-inch screen on the Lumia 920. The Lumia 920 is slightly heavier than the BlackBerry Z10, although even it is heavier than the iPhone 5.
All in all, the two phones bear quite a resemblance to each other, although BlackBerry’s new operating system could make it more attractive to businesses and those who use their smartphone for business uses because it can keep business and personal information separate. On the other hand, if a camera is more important to you, then the Lumia 920 may be the better option. It just depends on what you’re looking for.
