Also on Twitter, Musk said earlier this week that he was close to feeling 100% and that if he took Dayquil, he was definitely at 100%. He added that this was "one of the mildest cold/flu experiences" he had ever had.

The shares jumped from about $400 to about $500 after three days of trading, adding about $8.3 billion to his net worth to bring it to about $105.4 billion. For those who are keeping track, Zuckerberg's net worth is about $100.6 billion.

Elon Musk has seen his wealth grow at a rapid clip this year as Tesla stock has skyrocketed, climbing more than 460% year to date. The Tesla CEO's net worth has climbed by almost $76 billion since Forbes published its most recent World's Billionaires list on March 18 when his net worth was $24.6 billion.

Among Musk's holdings are a 21% stake in Tesla. SpaceX was also valued at $46 billion as of August.
