Tesla Motors Inc: Model S Can Be Yours For Just $100

Updated on

Tesla cars are liked by many, but not all can afford one due to its premium pricing. There is good news for such people from the Illinois Solar Energy Association (ISEA), however, as even fans who aren’t capable of buying a Tesla Model S can get a chance to win one.

Tesla Model S for $100

Tesla’s Model S does not fit in the budget of everyone, therefore, it is very possible that there are many people who want to own a Tesla but have to settle for offerings from another company for pricing issues even though they don’t all their requirements. For such buyers, ISEA is selling 2,000 raffle tickets costing $100 for a single entry to the raffle and $300 for four tickets.

ISEA is a non-profit education and advocacy group that aims for more widespread deployment of solar energy and other renewables. The drawing will take place at 7 p.m. Central at ISEA’s annual membership meeting scheduled on Dec. 10. The ISEA board president will call the winner if he or she is not present at the meeting. The winner will then get the opportunity to design a Tesla Model S to suit their needs. The winner will be required to bear expenses such as taxes, fees, assessments, delivery, insurance destination charges, title and registration fees, and charges related to the delivery or use of the prize. Only U.S. residents can take advantage of this chance to win a Tesla Model S.

Only for residents of Illinois, ISEA is also offering raffle tickets to a home solar PV system. Each ticket is priced at $40, while three tickets can be purchased for $100.

Referral program – another chance to win

A person can also win a Tesla car with Tesla’s referral program, which CEO Elon Musk revealed in July. Previously, it was announced that the the program would end in October, but now it has been extended to the end of the year. The person with the highest number of referrals per region will get a free Ludicrous P90D Model S and a paid VIP trip to the Model 3 unveiling event. In addition, the first ten referrals per region will get a free Powerwall energy storage system with installation.

On Monday, Tesla shares closed up 3.44% at $214.31. Year to date, the stock is down by almost 4%, while in the last one month, it is down by almost 6%.
