Sprint and Google team up to help businesses

Companies that purchase Google’s software through Sprint can benefit from the support services offered by the carrier. Sprint Business’s vice president of business solution commercialization Mike Fitz explained his company offers a 24/7 end-user call service which is something Google does not offer. That is one of the main reasons businesses may be interested in purchasing the apps from Sprint.

Benefits of the partnership

The director of product marketing for Sprint John Tudhope said there are some big changes in the workplace including a bring-your-own-device environment. This appeals specifically to twenty-somethings who don’t want to be tethered to the workplace. He added that as customers move to Google, the company will assign consultant for them. The consultant will help them with deployment needs for free. Sprint will also offer personal deployment packages for a fee.

Sprint will also offer Boost eLearning, a platform with over 400 apps designed for user-led learning and training. That is also a free service.

Google Apps are pre-loaded for easier deployment. Sprint will also offer Domain Services for users who don’t own their own websites or email handle. Sprint will help users buy them and Single Sign-On capabilities. This will allow the user to sign on once using on two-factor authentication for instant access to all of Google’s apps plus an additional 3,000 other cloud-based apps without having to enter another password.

The new collaboration between Sprint and Google is a huge win for businesses. Not only will companies be able to access the best Google has to offer, they will get additional customer service from Sprint.
