Samsung has already sent out invites for its Galaxy Unpacked event to be held on August 13 in New York, where it is set to launch the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+. And now the Korean company is trying to build a little hype about its next-gen phablets. Samsung has published a blog post titled “7 Reasons Why Bigger is Better” highlighting the advantages of its supersized devices.
Samsung building hype around Galaxy Note 5
Though the blog post doesn’t directly mention the Galaxy Note 5, it does indirectly point to the Note lineup a couple of times. Samsung highlights the advantages phablets have over the regular-sized smartphones. For instance, a bigger display is perfect for watching videos. Playing mobile games on a larger screen leads to a more immersive experience.
When you are filming your own photos or videos, a larger screen makes editing a breeze. One of the biggest advantages of phablets is that they fit in more content on the screen. You can see more content on the display, whether you are reading e-books, long articles, or browsing the web. Samsung further highlights that a larger screen allows for more efficient messaging and emailing. You can select the right emoticons effortlessly and bid farewell to frequent typos.
The Korean giant adds that the S Pen stylus of Galaxy Note devices is perfect for business users. It helps them draw diagrams, annotate documents, and write memos easily. And yes, a large screen can be split up into two for multitasking.
Dual-SIM Galaxy Note 5 spotted in Malaysia
Galaxy Note 5 is expected to sport a 5.66-inch Super AMOLED display, 4GB RAM, an octa-core Exynos 7420 processor, 16MP main camera with OIS, 5MP front snapper, and Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. The S6 Edge+ will likely arrive with a 5.5-inch display, 3GB RAM, and 3,000mAh battery. Both devices lack a microSD card slot.
Recently, the dual-SIM variant of Galaxy Note 5 was spotted passing through Malaysia’s SIRIM certification agency. Its model number is SM-9208. The device offers quad-band 2G, dual-band 3G and four 4G LTE bands. We will have to wait until August 13 to know the official features and specs of Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+.
