A10 features

A10 will be launched towards the end of this year featuring a 5 inch Super AMOLED display, a dual core processor and a separate graphic processor. Blackberry A10 will be the biggest phone in size from Research In Motion Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) (TSE:BB) ever. The display resolution will be compromised at 1280 x 720 compared to 1080 p display that is available in various phones having pixel densities of 350 ppi. The edges of the phones are kept more rounded than the previous Research In Motion Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) (TSE:BB) devices and the rear side of the phone will be similar to Blackberry Q10.

The Ontario Waterloo based company is focusing on games and power in its A10 codenamed Aristo. Research In Motion Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) (TSE:BB) has not, however, confirmed hiring any game developers yet.

BBRY A10 Similar to Z10

Blackberry A10 is very similar to Z10 in styling as what can be perceived from the pictures, says a report from GSMArena. However, Blackberry A10 has a white border unlike Z10. The phone will be powered by OS10, but the price is not revealed yet.

Camera megapixels are not yet known, but it is rumored that the phone will have an 8 megapixel rear camera. Research In Motion Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) (TSE:BB) is launching the BB10 devices in a bid to take back the glory lost to rivals Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (LON:BC94) (KRX:005930) and Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL).

Analysts on BBRY

According to analyst John Jackson, an analyst from IDC, Research In Motion Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) (TSE:BB) can widen its portfolio and can allure both consumers and developers through its specifications.

Another analyst Ross Rubin of Reticle Research said that Blackberry Q10 and Z10 are not over the top when it comes to technology. However, he added that the company should give more weight to its hardware. “Hopefully they can focus a little more attention back on the hardware side,” he said.

Analyst Roger Entner, from Recon said that the new flagship phone from Research In Motion Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) (TSE:BB) should run on OS10 and have the better features to attract consumers and developers.

Research In Motion Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) (TSE:BB) will also launch 9720, which will be almost similar to Blackberry 9700. Blackberry 9720 will have some advanced features unlike 9700.
