An activist investor has increased its stake in Premier Farnell. GO Investment Partners now owns 4.1% of the company, up from 3.2%.
It took a stake last month. This comes as Premier took a hit last week on lowered guidance. Earnings fell for 1Q and are expected to trend downward due to margin pressure.
GO is generally a constructive European focused activist, with a focus on small-caps.
It remains to be seen what GO pushes for at the UK electric systems parts maker, but there is speculation it could push for a merger with peer Electrocompetent.
