More than 1,000 stocks on the New York Stock Exchange hit fresh 52-week lows [CHARTS]

The stock market rout continued Wednesday as more than 1,000 NYSE-listed stocks collapsed to fresh 52-week lows, the most since August 24, 2015. According to the Wall Street Journal, 96% of the stocks on the New York Stock Exchange are in the red. Netflix is down more than 6% after reporting earnings, dragging the S&P 500 even lower. All three major US market indices are down more than 2%, adding to what has been one of the worst starts to a year for the stock market in US history.
