Long Beach Airport on lockdown due to suspicious bag [REPORT]

Long Beach Airport is on lockdown after unattended luggage was found Wednesday morning.

Initial reports about the luggage came in shortly before 10 a.m., said Stephanie Montuya-Morisky, an airport spokeswoman. Long Beach police are at the scene and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Bomb Squad has been called to investigate.

A 400-foot perimeter has been established around the luggage, Montuya-Morisky said.

Travelers are advised to check on flight status with their airlines, she said.
