Light weight vehicle sales for the month of August were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 16.09 million, Autodata reports in a preliminary reading of the month’s sales. This is an increase from the final reading in July of light weight vehicle sales of 15.74 million SAAR as reported by the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis.
Now at the fastest rate since October 2007, U.S. motor vehicle sales are up 11.2% from a year ago.
