Larry Flynt: Hustler Print Version Will Be Gone in a 2-3 Years [PREVIEW]

Larry Flynt, Publisher of Hustler Magazine  in an interview to appear on FOX Business Network’s (FBN) Countdown to the Closing Bell (3PM/ET), anchor Liz Claman speaks with about his concerns surrounding the print media industry. Flynt stated, “I don’t think Hustler will exist more than another two or three years” in print. Larry Flynt went on to say that “25 years ago, 95 percent of my profits came from publishing. Today, only 5 percent profits come from publishing.”

Excerpts from the interview are below:

On whether Larry Flynt thinks Hustler magazine will remain in print for years to come:

“I don’t think Hustler will exist more than another two or three years. We’re already putting our digital online Hustler up in order to preserve the brand.”

On what Larry Flynt thinks will bring in the most profits for the next decade to come:

“I think it would be a toss-up between the broadcasting division and the gaming division, you know 25 years ago 95 percent of my profits came from publishing. Today, only 5 percent profits come from publishing. It’s been a terrible disappointment – print media has, but you give up something when you get something, and technology has been great. It’s been great for us as people, but it has changed our industry a lot.”
