Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) is all prepared to come up with a new suite of software that will particularly focus on the private cloud as well as OpenStack deployments and is aimed at administrators of data centers. On Wednesday in San Francisco at Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC)’s Tech to Watch seminar, the company’s data center marketing team’s vice president and general manager, Shannon Poulin, spoke about the gaps in technology deployment requirements.
“What we’re looking at right now is an industry in flux,” said Poulin. He added that there is an inclination toward cloud among people, and while few discuss their problems with the deployment of data center technology, others suggest solutions.
Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC)’s data center software division’s vice president and general manager, Boyd Davis, emphasized that there are few problems with running on the cloud for enterprise workloads. Davis said that even though cloud has helped in improving efficiency, users have many expectations with regards to consistency and security issues that have not been met. The chip maker has seen that on-premise cloud environments are able to attract more businesses, said Poulin. Intel’s DCM:SAA has been designed in such a manner that all the problems encountered are solved once and for all.
How Intel’s suite differs from and is similar to others
