With Google Pixel 4 leaks emerging on a daily basis, we already have a good idea of what Google’s flagship device looks like. At 12 days ahead of the huge Made by Google event on Oct. 15, Google Pixel 4 specs have leaked again, as reported by 9to5Google. Here’s what the upcoming Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL are equipped with.
Press renders leaked by @evleaks on Twitter last month showed that the Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL are going to be available in white and “Oh So Orange” colors. Also, the search engine giant announced that its upcoming flagship phones are going to launch with Soli radar. Soli radar enables users to unlock and change functionalities on their phone using their own hand movements. That way the phone will activate the facial recognition sensor.
Last month 91mobiles leaked specs for Google Pixel 4XL, which will ship with a 6.23-inch QHD+ display and run on Snapdragon 855 SoC. The new leaks add up to the previous rumors and then add a few more bells and whistles to the already existing information.
Here’s what is known so far:
Google Pixel 4 specs
The standard Pixel 4 will come with a 5.7-inch Full HD+ Smooth Display which will support up to 90Hz OLED with Ambient EQ. Just like the previous rumors suggested, it’ll be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 with Pixel Neural Core. Its performance will be enhanced with 6GB of internal memory, with two storage options – 64GB and 128GB.
When it comes to the cameras, the standard Pixel 4 won’t come with a triple or quadruple camera system like its competition. Instead, it will come with a 12MP Dual-Pixel lens and 16MP Telephoto lens.
The side features also include Titan M Security Module, Facial recognition and Motion Sense, which allows the device to smartly detect user’s movements and adjust its functionality.
Google Pixel 4 XL specs
When it comes to the larger Pixel 4XL, it will come with a 6.3-inch Quad HD+ Smooth Display that also supports up to 90Hz OLED and Ambient EQ. It will boast a considerably larger battery of 3700 mAh, as opposed to the regular Pixel 4 that ships with a 2800mAh battery.
When it comes to processing and memory power, everything has stayed the same, as well as the cameras. Both devices will ship with Android Q out of the box which was already available on previous Pixel phones.
Aside from the specs sheet, 9to5Google also obtained the info on what will ship in the box with Google’s phones in the U.S. The list includes:
- Google Pixel 4 or Pixel 4 XL
- 1m USB-C to USB-C cable
- 18W USB-C power adapter
- Quick Switch Adapter (USB-A to USB-C)
- SIM tool
- Guide
No headphone adapter?
If you looked closely at the list of accessories that ship with Pixel 4 and Pixel 4XL, you may have noticed that the new flagships don’t include a USB-C headphone adapter or the USB-C earbuds. This is a little discouraging because last year’s Pixel 3 came with the earbuds.
According to the report, it’s possible that the earbuds won’t ship together only for the U.S. There are countries where phone OEMs are required by law to include the headphones in the shipping list. That said, Google Pixel 4 should ship with earbuds in those countries.
