Gary Cohn, Goldman Sachs President and COO “does not know if he wants to wait years” to replace Goldman Sachs Chairman and CEO Lloyd Blankfein, according to a new report from FOX Business Network (FBN) Senior Correspondent Charlie Gasparino. Gasparino went on to report, that this means Gary Cohn could be leaving Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (NYSE:GS) “in a fairly reasonable amount of time.”
Excerpts from the report are below.
On whether Gary Cohn will replace Lloyd Blankfein at Goldman Sachs:
“FOX Business Network has learned that Cohn has actually told people he does not know if he wants to wait years to take that job, which means he could leave in a fairly reasonable amount of time. I can’t tell you when, but my guess is, and the guess is that I hear from a lot of people inside the place, is that this guy gives it a couple more years. Maybe three years in this number two spot. If Lloyd doesn’t leave or if he doesn’t split the job of Chairman and CEO, it’s always a possibility, and then he goes out on his own.”
