Samsung is reportedly showing the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge to select partners and telecom carriers behind the closed doors at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Meanwhile, crucial details of the forthcoming smartphone continue to come out. Now, SamMobile has learned from its sources that at least some versions of the Galaxy S6 will ship with Sennheiser earbuds.
Sennheiser earbuds with Apt-X technology
The South Korean company is looking to offer better sound experience to users. The world’s largest smartphone maker is expected to unveil at least two models of the Galaxy S6 in the next few months. One variant will have a regular display, while the other one will have a curved screen on the sides, just like the Galaxy Note Edge. It’s unclear at this point whether all versions will feature the same earbuds.
The publication notes that these Sennheiser earbuds will be similar to Apple Earpods in terms of design. Moreover, Sennheiser earbuds will have Apt-X technology, meaning they would be Bluetooth wireless headphones. Separately, Korean news website AsiaE.co.kr reports that the Galaxy S6 Edge will be a niche device. It claims that Samsung will manufacture 10 million units of the Edge variant this year and at least 35 million units of the regular Galaxy S6. AsiaE added that Samsung estimates to sell a total of 45-52 million Galaxy S6 units in 2015.

It has a declared value of 44,909 rupees ($710). Model SM-G925F is believed to be the curved variant of Galaxy S6. The import documents say it is “similar to the Galaxy Note 4.”
The Galaxy S6 is expected to sport Quad HD display with 2560x1440p resolution, Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 or 64-bit Exynos 7420 processor and Broadcom’s new BCM4773 sensor chip. The phone will likely have a 20MP main camera, 5MP front shooter and 32GB, 64GB and 128GB storage options.
