There are rumors floating around the web that suggest developer Infinity Ward is aiming for a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 release date sometime in 2019.

It’s important to note that any information about upcoming titles should be taken with a grain of salt given that it’s certainly possible that things can change. This is especially true for a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 release date, as game launch dates are always subject to change based on any potential issues in development.
The claims regarding Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 suggest that the game will feature a fully-fledged solo campaign as well as traditional multiplayer and a zombies mode. This is welcome news to those were disappointed with news that Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 would be the first in the series history to launch without a dedicated story mode.

We will have to wait until we get closer to a potential Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 release date before we find out whether these rumors hold true, and it will likely be a long time before they are confirmed considering that Black Ops 4 was announced a matter of days ago. The rumors seem reliable, however, and it’s the best we have to go off of regarding the release of this upcoming blockbuster.
With Black Ops 4 set to launch on October 12, it’s likely that we’re looking at a release date somewhere near the end of 2019 – or at least definitely not at the very beginning. The franchise obviously wants to avoid cannibalizing their own sales, and a release date too soon would lead to lower profits for both titles.
