BlackBerry has been named a ‘leader’ in The Forrester Wave: Enterprise Mobile Management, Q4 2015. Forrester Research arrived at this conclusion after evaluating BES12 and Good Secure Mobility Solution and offerings from other significant EMM vendors, the Canadian firm said in a press release.

BlackBerry changing for the good

Forrester evaluated the offerings on 25 parameters, and the BlackBerry solution portfolio of BES12 and Good Powered by BlackBerry scored highest in 14 of those. Those criteria included Secure Productivity Apps, Network Security, Data Management and Security, Containerization, App Management, App Security and Reporting and Analytics.

“BlackBerry’s strong network and data security paired with recently acquired Good Technology’s containerization for new devices and application services will enhance its offering further and cement its leadership position,” the research firm said.

In its report, Forrester noted that BlackBerry has changed a lot from what it used to be few years back, and this is good news for customers. BES has become a truly cross-platform solution, and still maintains its commitment to security. The company is committed to helping customers with secure collaboration, communication and application development, and this is clearly visible with the acquisitions of AtHoc, WatchDox, and, most recently, Good Technology.

Multiple solutions in one EMM portfolio

BlackBerry’s Executive Vice President of Enterprise Product and Value Added Solutions, Billy Ho, said that the enterprises can rely on the Canadian firm to move forward with their cross-platform mobility strategy, and the Forrester EMM Wave 2015 validates this.

Ho said the company is really pleased to be listed at the top position in the EMM solutions market, and it shows that the enterprises are getting a lot of help from BlackBerry’s strategy of ensuring the highest levels of security and personal privacy in the complex world of mobility.

BlackBerry is the provider of the most comprehensive mobile security platform in the industry, and is the only vendor that offers secure and encrypted voice, text, messaging, enterprise file-sync-and-share solutions and cross-platform device management in one EMM portfolio.

All G7 governments, 16 of the G20 governments and 10 out of 10 largest global banks and law firms use BlackBerry for securing their mobile communications. The same is true for the top five largest managed healthcare, investment services and oil and gas companies.

On Tuesday, BlackBerry shares closed up 0.73% at $7.64. Year to date, the stock is down over 30%, while over the last month, shares are down almost 5%.
