Janus Capital Portfolio Manager Bill Gross spoke with FOX Business Network’s (FBN) Liz Claman about raising interest rates and whether his former employer PIMCO is looking for a new CEO. When asked what month he thinks we will see a rate hike Gross said, “I think in June.” Gross went on to comment on whether PIMCO is looking for a new CEO saying, “I haven’t heard that. That’s a surprise to me.”

Bill Gross on which month we will see a rate hike:

“I think in June. The Fed didn’t mention it today and that’s one of the reasons bonds are moving up in price and lower in yield and perhaps why the stock market is up half a percent or so. I think they will in June if global market conditions continue to stabilize and that’s the key.”

Bill Gross on whether PIMCO is looking for a new CEO:

“Well I haven’t heard that. That’s a surprise to me. They are just down the street, but I don’t have lunch with any of them but that would be a surprise to me”
