Ashe Capital has a 5.5% activist stake in Allison Transmission (NYSE: ALSN), where Jeff Ubben’s ValueAct Capital is also an activist. Ashe notes that it has engaged in discussions with members of management and the board of directors.
Earlier this year, ValueAct put Gregory Spivy on the board and took its stake up to 10.4%.
