Rumors are swirling that Apple will introduce a new line of MacBook Pro Laptops in October as the company has failed to do much with the iconic product since 2012. The present rumors are a result of a an email purportedly written by CEO Tim Cook telling us that something is on the way.
Apple user asks, Tim Cook answers question regarding the MacBook Pro?
While MacRumors is reporting that an email from Tim Cook appears to be written by the Apple CEO and is believed to be from Apple servers, whether or not he wrote it is another issue altogether. The email was sent in response to a MacRumors reader asking Cook whether or not Apple was “pulling away from the Mac line” to which Cook may have answered, “I love the Mac and we are very committed to it. Stay tuned.”
If you watch television it would be easy to believe that Apple is the leading laptop manufacturer with popular characters using them left and right but this simply isn’t the case. In fact, given the lack of a true upgrade for nearly four years, as an Apple user with an iMac and MacBook Air, I might be tempted to go PC laptop shopping if Apple doesn’t do something new and quickly.
If released in October as many believe it will be, the new MacBook Pro is expected to be faster and thinner with a stunning redesigned rumored to include a programable OLED touch display that would sit where the function keys presently call home.
It’s also believed that Apple will incorporate the fingerprint scanner that is Touch ID for the ease of logging in rather than having to type a password in order to unlock the MacBook Pro.
It’s also rumored that the MacBook Aire will be given USB-C ports while the new iMac models will begin rocking AMD graphics, but this is nothing more than speculation as we all know Apple does a pretty good job of keeping us in the dark until it unveils its new proeducts.
It would certainly make sense that any new MacBook Pro will come preinstalled with macOS Sierra as that was announced last week alongside the iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus as well as the new Apple Watch Series 2. macOS Sierra is slated to be released as a free update on September 20 and will bring Siri to iMacs and Apple laptops for the first time along with additional features.
