In case you missed it, there’s some true jerkery going on at Cabela’s (CAB).
Paul Singer, whose Elliott Management is an activist investor involved with Cabela’s and pushing them toward a sale of the company, donated $35k to Nebraska governor (the state where Cabela’s is headquartered) Pete Ricketts.
Turns out – Ricketts has since talked to Cabela’s CEO after Elliott took a stake. He’s even offered to provide some assistance in talking with Singer and Elliott to help keep in the company public, or in the least, located in Nebraska.
