A strong distribution network is essential for success in almost any industry, but it’s particularly true in the healthcare sector. That’s why 3D printer industry leader 3D Systems announced on Monday it’s teaming up with global healthcare products powerhouse Henry Schein to distribute its new line of dental 3D printers.
With the new agreement, Henry Schein will provide 3D Systems dental 3D printers to its dental laboratory customers in the United States, Canada, France, Germany, Australia and Thailand. The agreement substantially expands 3D Systems’s reach into dental labs and adds its printers into Henry Schein’s complete digital dental solution. Henry Schein will market the micro-SLA ProJet 1200 and new ProJet 3510 DPPro in its digital dental laboratory offerings, which includes 3D scanners, software, installation and post-sales support.

The firms note that the new multipurpose ProJet 3510 DPPro 3D printer offers 24/7 printing capabilities including large build volume, meaning lab managers can boost maximum throughput and improve production schedules. The ProJet 3510 DPPro permits labs to print enhanced, highly accurate wax-ups for crowns, bridges and partial denture frameworks, as well as models for crown and bridge, orthodontic, partial dentures and dental models in USP Class VI-capable VisiJet Stoneplast.
The compact ProJet 1200 offers high-quality SLA 3D printing in an affordable package. This compact machine quickly produces dental wax-ups for copings, bridges and pressed ceramics that are fully compatible with all traditional lab workflows.
