Call of Duty Modern Warfare New Multiplayer Mode Reveal Coming Today

Updated on

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was officially revealed in May. Since then Infinity Ward, the developer of the game, has been secretive about the multiplayer mode. Today, the company will showcase the multiplayer mode via a livestream event.

Infinity Ward revealed the screenshots of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare at E3 2019 last month. However, it has still to share any footage of the game’s multiplayer mode. Now today it will take the curtains off of the multiplayer mode. The multiplayer mode will be revealed by top streamers, such as LEGIQN, CouRage, TeeP and Syndicate.

Infinity Ward announced about the livestream event via a tweet yesterday. The tweet read that the “fast-paced” 2v2 mode would debut during a livestream event which will start at 10 a.m. Pacific / 1 p.m. Eastern time today. The twitch broadcast will show the new game mode. This new game mode is called Gunfight, and it features a 2v2 multiplayer battle.

Along with the campaign and multiplayer, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare also has a co-op mode in the form of Spec Ops. As of now, not much is known about it. Hopefully, we will know more about it during the livestream.

The trailer of the game reveal during the E3 2019, revealed that Captain Price is making a comeback to the series. John “Soap” McTavish is also returning to the game. A big change for the series is that the upcoming game has no Season Pass. Also, it is known that developers are working to include cross-play.

The first mission of the game is set in London and will take place in the current era. The second mission in Modern Warfare will be a flashback mission. It will be based in the Middle East and feature rebels. The game will also include a violence-based mission like “No Russian.”

Talking about the campaign, in the first half, players will play Sgt. Kyle Garrick, who is a former British Army Officer. Garrick will work along with the returning character Cpt. Price. The second-half will revolve around a CIA agent named Alex, who works with another Commander Farrah.

Talking of what more to expect from the game, a popular Call of Duty leaker, TheGamingRevolution, recently revealed what the Modern Warfare class system will look like. In a video detailing the perks and equipment in-game, the tipster talks of how the Create-A-Class will work.

As per TGR, the old Pick-10 system is gone. Players will get one Primary and one Secondary weapon by default. There will be five attachments with the Primary weapon, while the secondary one would likely have one or two.

Further, the tipster reveals that each class will come with three Perks, or one for each tier. Additionally, each player would get one tactical and one lethal piece of equipment automatically. One new thing that Infinity Ward would come up with is giving one special skill to every class that charges up in each match.

TheGamingRevolution also shared the Perks and equipment that will come with Modern Warfare. The list includes;

Munitions: it replaces Secondary weapon with a Primary.

High Alert: it will flash a yellow alert on the screen if an enemy is aiming at you.

Tune-Up: it will help players carry another Lethal piece of equipment.

Restock: it recharges Tacticals and Lethal once they are used.

Double Time: it boosts the duration of the “Super Sprint” by three times.

Spotter: it informs you and teammates about the enemy equipment.

Battle Hardened: it lowers the effect of stun grenades and flashbangs

Heavy Metal: it helps you to earn Killstreaks with Killstreak kills.

Scavenger: replenishes ammunition from other players.

Cold-Blooded: it is immune to the enemy’s AI and UAVs targeting systems

EOD: lower explosive damage.

Hunter: using it will let you see enemy footprints on the ground.

Warhead: it boosts the RPG reload speed.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will launch on October 25 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC. Prior to the current title, Infinity Ward developed a few successful Call of Duty titles, including Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

Last year’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 was developed by Treyarch. However, it failed to reach the same success as was enjoyed by the earlier COD games. Hopefully, the upcoming title will live up to the expectations of the players.
