RED iPhone 8 Price And How To Get The Look Without Buying One

Updated on

On Monday, Apple announced the release of (PRODUCT) RED iPhone 8 and 8 Plus. The new handsets are available for pre-order now, and would hit the store shelves on April 13th in the US and a few other countries. These handsets have the same technical specifications as the regular models. A lot of people looking to buy a new iPhone have a misconception that the RED iPhone 8 price would be higher than the standard variants. It’s not.

The RED iPhone 8 price is the same as the existing color variants. The 64GB iPhone 8 RED Edition is priced at $699 in the US, while the 256GB model will be available at $849. The RED iPhone 8 Plus with 64GB internal storage has a starting price of $799. The 256GB RED iPhone 8 Plus will be available at $949. In international markets as well the RED iPhone 8 price will be the same as the price of other color variants in their local currency. For instance, the regular 64GB iPhone 8 costs £699 in the UK, and the RED iPhone 8 price will be the same £699 there.

The phones will have the same Retina HD display and A11 Bionic chipset as the other color variants. The RED iPhone 8 and 8 Plus have joined the Silver, Gold, and Space Gray colors. The phones have a red glass body with a matching aluminum band. While the RED iPhone 7 had a white front, the RED iPhone 8 and 8 Plus come with a stunning black front panel. Apple didn’t launch a RED iPhone X. Instead, it introduced a RED iPhone X leather folio priced at $99. The folio is crafted from European leather to give it “a luxurious look and feel.”

The newly launched RED iPhones look gorgeous with their red and black combination. People who have already purchased the iPhone 8 or 8 Plus might be tempted to sell their current devices and buy the RED color versions. But you don’t have to shell out a huge amount of money. You can get the same look without buying a new phone. The best way to get the same look on your existing phone is to check out the ultra-slim third-party red skins and cases for your iPhone.

Accessories makers have been selling red cases and skins for iPhones for a long time. Apple also sells (PRODUCT) RED cases for the iPhones, including the iPhone X. But they are ridiculously expensive, and aren’t as slim as you’d expect. You can check them out here:

These cases and skins are far more affordable than what Apple offers. Apple also offers a wide range of RED products including smart battery cases, silicone cases, leather cases, Apple Watch, Beats headphones, iPod Touch, and smart cover for iPad. Part of proceeds from the sale of RED products goes towards counseling, testing, and treatment for tens of millions of people living with HIV/AIDS in African countries.

(RED) CEO Deborah Dugan said in a statement that Apple had donated more than $160 million for the cause in the last 11 years. Apple VP for product marketing Greg Joswiak said the RED iPhone 8 and 8 Plus give customers an opportunity to “make an impact in fighting the spread of HIV and AIDS.” The Global FUND HIV/AIDS runs various programs in African countries with a focus on eliminating the transfer of HIV from mothers to their babies. U2 star Bono and ONE Campaign activity Bobby Shriver had founded (PRODUCT) RED in 2006. They license the brand to private companies to highlight their efforts in fighting HIV/AIDS.
