The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has not been immune to leaks this summer. Quite the opposite, in fact. This year’s follow up to the disastrous Galaxy Note 7 launch has had almost every major detail leaked to web for all to see. Now, even the Galaxy Note 8 wallpapers are out there for you to download.
The Galaxy Note 8 wallpapers are very nice in a minimalist sort of sense. A few of them are just basic gradient while some have an imagine incorporated. You may not be able to get your hands on a Galaxy Note 8 for a few more weeks but you can give your smartphone a taste of the upcoming device – download Galaxy Note 8 wallpapers here.
Of course, the wallpapers are far from the biggest Galaxy Note 8 leak we have seen so far. This year’s version of the Note looks to be an exciting update meant to win back consumers who were burned (figuratively and literally) by the Galaxy Note 7 launch.
If you download the Galaxy Note 8 wallpapers you can get a sense of what the display might look like but, of course, nothing will be the same as holding an actual Galaxy Note 8 in your hands. The display promises to be one of the best on the market. Much like the Galaxy S8, the Note 8 will show off a beautiful Infinity Display that stretches from edge to edge leaving no room for ugly bezels. That obviously means that the physical navigation buttons from previous Note releases are gone. Samsung is adopting on-screen navigation buttons for the Galaxy Note 8 and the result is a very clean looking device.
On the rear, the Galaxy Note 8 is going to sport a dual camera sensor that looks like it could be one of the top cameras in a smartphone this fall. We saw leaked materials that detailed some of the features Samsung plans to release alongside their new dual camera sensor. These materials indicate that the Galaxy Note 8 is going to be much better at shooting in low-light conditions. Also, the dual camera sensor will allow for 3x optical zoom when taking images. This is a huge upgrade from digital zoom which is what most smartphone cameras offer. When zoomed in, optical zoom allows for a much clearer image over digital zoom. There was also some interesting points in the leaked materials about the ability of the camera sensor to measure distance and height of subjects in the photo. There wasn’t much indication about how this could actually be applied in real world situations but that kind of technology is crucial for a lot of new augmented reality applications.
Even the Galaxy Note 8 battery has been leaked this summer! Normally, that wouldn’t be a huge leak but considering the situation we experience with the Galaxy Note 7 last year, a lot of people were curious about what kind of battery would be seen in the Galaxy Note 8. This year, the Note 8 will be packing a 3300mAh battery which is less than what we see in the Galaxy S8+. Hopefully Samsung has some new software features implemented to help the large Note 8 screen last a full day of regular use. Most importantly, though, we hope it doesn’t catch fire.
As for specs, the Galaxy Note 8 promises to be one of the most powerful smartphones available when it launches this fall. In the United States the Note 8 will be running a Snapdragon 835 while international versions will carry an Exynos 8895. Those chipsets will be paired with 6GB of RAM. The 3.5mm headphone port appears to be alive and well in the Galaxy Note 8 as some other manufacturers move to drop the feature. There have also been rumors of an extra-beefy Galaxy Note 8 Emperor Edition which could pack 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. This model, at least initially, will only be available in China according to some rumors.
There you have it! Lots of leaks about Samsung’s upcoming flagship and now you can even download Galaxy Note 8 wallpapers to your existing device without having to wait for the official release. Will you grab one of these wallpapers to give your phone a little Note 8 flavor or will you wait until the real deal is launched and available?
