Twitter went down and then back up in what appeared to be a widespread disruption affecting users around the world. Visitors to the micro-blogging website were greeted by the following message:
Websites such as DownRightNow and Down Detector listed Twitter as being down, citing user comments for the information. The mobile app didn’t appear to be affected, and the micro-blogging site resolved the problem very quickly. The widespread outage only lasted for about 15 minutes, although some still reported a few minor problems afterward.
