Fifth-Gen Chinese Stealth Fighter Debuts At Dubai Air Show

China unveiled its first fifth generation stealth fighter at the Dubai Air Show but so far, the product has not gained the traction Beijing hoped for. According to China Military Online, it was the first such occasion in which the FC-31 Gyrfalcon, which commonly goes by the name of J-31, was showcased overseas.

Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) introduced this aircraft with an aim to provide competition to Lockheed Martin’s F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. However, the FC-31 has so far received an underwhelming response to potential suitors in presenting itself as a worthy, yet cheaper alternative to the F-35. Apart from the People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF), no other party has shown solid interest in buying these fifth-generation stealth fighter jets. The PLA Air Force, however, is reportedly locked in negotiations with AVIC in order to purchase the aircraft.

Stealth fighter struggling to woo away prospective clients

However, there have been no reports of when the PLAAF will strike a deal with AVIC for the purchase of this aircraft, and neither has there been any report regarding the number of jets the PLAAF will purchase. According to AVIC project manager Lin Peng, the PLAAF is not the only party to show interest in their product. AVIC sees Iran and Pakistan as other potential customers and is hoping to attract their attention in the coming months.

Hedge Fund Launches Jump Despite Equity Market Declines

Last year was a bumper year for hedge fund launches. According to a Hedge Fund Research report released towards the end of March, 614 new funds hit the market in 2021. That was the highest number of launches since 2017, when a record 735 new hedge funds were rolled out to investors. What’s interesting about Read More

The FC-31 exhibited everything with perfect accuracy at the Dubai Air Show according to the AVIC representative. Lin stated that the stealth fighter showed outstanding situational awareness during the exhibition and presented their case further by stressing that the FC-31 has been designed by keeping in mind the demands of future battlefield environments.

A Chinese stealth fighter with American roots

However, things have not been working out for China’s indigenous aircraft the way they would have hoped for. Many people have argued that China’s FC-31 is a copy of the U.S.-made F-35 and that the aircraft design is believed to be stolen from Lockheed Martin. The arms manufacturing juggernaut sustained a serious cyber-attack in April 2009 when hackers breached their network and gained access to the blueprints of the F-35 plane.

Experts have evaluated the FC-31 and asserted that the airframe of the aircraft resembles that of the F-35 and that just like the F-35, FC-31 carries two internal weapons bays, which can carry both guided as well as unguided weapons. Its wings are capable of carrying 3,600 kg of payload. It can carry 2,700 kilograms of payload externally under its wings and 910 kilograms internally.

IHS Jane’s Defense Weekly ran a comparison between the F-35 and FC-31 and found that both aircraft have the same electro-optical targeting system, the EOTS-89. Both jets use two tracking mirrors and a flat-facetted optical window. And not only that, but the bottom fuselage in both aircraft is placed just behind the radar radome. Coincidence? Experts think not.

In addition to that, aircraft experts have discarded the notion that China’s stealth aircraft can compete with rival Lockheed-Martin’s F-35. However, a detailed assessment of the FC-31, claimed to be a fifth-generation fighter, cannot be entirely accurate at this stage. China’s AVIC has not made the details of their aircraft public, and it would be wrong to completely rule out its success in the future.

A bit of Russian technology

The FC-31 is a twin-engine aircraft, and its prototype is armed with a Klimov 8.29-ton thrust RD-33 turbofan of Russian origin. According to reports, China is working on the WS-13 Taishan turbofan, which is also an improved and developed version of the Klimov RD-33 turbofan. All these reports suggest that China’s FC-31 is based on the drawings of the American-made F-35 and that the technology this fighter is using is borrowed from Russia. A prototype of China’s FC-31 Gyrfalcon took to the sky for the first time in October 2012 and made its first public flight demonstration during the Zhuhai Air Show in China last year.

Although the test aircraft has been flying for a couple years now, AVIC has pegged 2019 as the year for the first flight of the production aircraft and 2022 for the year in which the aircraft will reach an initial operational capability if everything goes according to plan. And according to AVIC representatives, the JC-31 will reach its full operation capability in 2024.

With experts from the United States accusing the makers of the FC-31 steeling the idea from the F-35, it seems rather difficult for the makers of this plane to present a strong case to potential buyers. The aircraft has yet to reach its full potential. These are some areas that need to be addressed if the Aviation Industry Corporation of China wants to make this product a success in the future.

LOL. Pathetic ChinkCom. KLEPTOMANIAC is ChinkCom’s way of life. LOSER!!

  2. Looks like pathetic ChinkCom like you falls in this category. :-)
“I’m not saying all people in China are liars and deceivers. But a lot of them are. Anyone who has actually lived there for any length of time knows exactly what I’m talking about. This is a country where deceptive manufacturers take white sesame seeds and coat them in toxic black ink just to sell them as “black sesame seeds.” This is a country where infant formula producers spike their formula with kidney-destroying melamine in order to make an extra five cents a pound, even while killing babies by the thousands. THEY DON’T CARE. China is a nation that has abandoned morality and even attacked it.”

  3. Part III Now you know why NO one in this world likes CHinkCom? Does it compute, IDIOT!

In China, the idea of forging a laboratory analysis document is no big deal. Fabricating fake documents is routine. You have to understand the philosophy of these people living without any code of ethics, surviving under a police state communist regime: There are no ethics. No values. No moral compass. Forging a fake lab report is no different to them than planting seeds: it’s just one more step needed to make money. There is no moral difference in their minds between telling the truth and lying. It’s a “relativistic” morality philosophy.

I’m not saying all people in China are liars and deceivers. China is a nation that has abandoned morality and even attacked it. This is a country where the Falun Gong group of meditation advocates and yoga practitioners is arrested and thrown in prison by an extremely oppressive, dictatorial government.

Look, cultures are different everywhere around the world. You want to hang out with really nice, intelligent and honest people? Get yourself some Dutch friends. They’re the most upstanding, moral, educated bunch of folks you’ll ever meet.

You want to hang out with highly-innovative rule followers? Get yourself some German friends. They follow the rules. And they’re smart, innovative people on top of that. Brilliant minds. Some of the greatest scientists in history came out of Berlin.

You want some friends who are wildly creative? Those are Americans. Americans make the best movies, the best music (well, along with UK musicians anyway), and a lot of the best computer software on the planet. Americans are rebels. They break the rules and forge a new path. America is a nation founded on rebellion.

But if you’re looking for people who will stab you in the back in a business deal, go the China. There, you will find the most back-stabbing, dishonest cheaters and liars you’ll probably ever meet, short of Nigera’s “Prince Nubula” whose emails promise you’ll receive a million dollars if you only send them $5,000 first.

  4. Part II CHinkCom. Explains why you bark like a dog. Want a biscuit?

    China’s Environmental Nightmare

Just how polluted is China’s environment? As I mentioned above, it’s so bad that a Chinese environmental official was recently offered over US$30,000 to take a 20-minute swim in a local river. He declined the offer, as would any sane person.

Are these the same rivers that are being used to produce “organic” crops in China? You have to wonder. A river can be so inundated with smelting factory runoff and chemical pollution that even bacteria struggle to survive in it; yet this water can be legally sprayed on crops that are exported to America as “organic.”

If you buy “organic” foods, superfoods or supplements grown in China, you need to know about this.

    As The Guardian reports:

“A recent government study found that groundwater in 90% of China’s cities is contaminated, most of it severely. The head of China’s ministry of water resources said last year that up to 40% of the country’s rivers are “seriously polluted”, and an official report from last summer found that up to 200 million rural Chinese have no access to clean drinking water.”

By the way, this is another story altogether, but I can tell you with 100% certainty that China is headed for an environmental collapse. The country has polluted itself far beyond the point of long-term sustainable life. Children are being born as mutants. Rivers support no fish life. Soils are building up obscene levels of contaminants and becoming so toxic that crop yields are affected. Cities are so filled with airborne pollution that the mere act of breathing causes cancer. And on top of that, China’s one-child policy has resulted in mass gendercide where baby girls are routinely — and yes, I mean ROUTINELY — murdered, drowned, suffocated, etc., because the family wants a son, not a daughter.

In its quest for economic power, China has poisoned itself to death, and now it’s only a matter of time before the nation collapses in a cesspool of toxicity and lies. The economic “boom” of China is nearly over, and it will be followed by an environmental implosion so huge and disgusting that the world will be absolutely horrified. Remember: China is so corrupt that it won’t stop factories from openly dumping toxic waste directly into the groundwater supplies. Instead of acknowledging the source of pollution, Chinese officials simply accept bribes and cover it up. The corruption in China is so deeply rooted in the culture that honesty and accountability can never overcome the deception.

With some exceptions, when you buy food grown in China, you are buying food produced in the most toxic environment on planet Earth, grown by some of the most deceptive and most corrupt liars and back-stabbers on the planet, all ruled by one of the most dictatorial and tyrannical governments history has ever known. That about sums it up.

Ultimately, China has a terminal environmental crisis on its hands, compounded by an eternally corrupt, dictatorial communist regime government that oppresses freedom and outlaws religion while forcing families to kill their own baby girls under its population control mandates.

    In summary, China suffers from:

    • An environmental nightmare
    • An almost complete abandonment of morals and integrity
    • A deeply corrupt communist police state political system that mandates the mass murder of baby girls

Is this the vibe you really want to be putting into your body?

  5. Hey its the ChinkHuaHua online. I heard you live in the world’s worst environmental cesspool. Does that explain ChinkCom like you? I believed so..

    Part I:

Is Modern China a Nation That Lacks Ethics?

Remember, too, that China is a communist regime. It is a country where all religion has been outlawed and the people are never taught ethics or morality. They have no moral compass. Across China, the majority of the population believes that the best way to get ahead is to CHEAT, lie and steal, even if it means harming someone else in the process.

Remember: China is the country where they put melamine in infant formula, knowing that it will kill little children. China is the country where the paint on children’s toys contains obscene levels of brain-damaging lead. China is a nation of shortcut-takers who will doanything to cheapen a product as long as they can cover it up and trick the buyer. This is why “made in China” has, for decades, been synonymous with “crap quality.”

Here’s a little note that will interest pet owners: If you buy pet treats made in China, you are murdering your pet with the most insane chemicals imaginable. The stuff that goes into some pet treats made in China is highly toxic and causes cancer. This is one of the main factors behind the alarming rise of cancers among dogs and cats in North America.

All this isn’t just secondhand information, by the way: I lived in Asia for two years and traveled extensively throughout the region. I speak a fair amount of Mandarin (Chinese), and I’ve interacted with lots and lots of people from China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. I can tell you that Taiwan is a country with much greater honesty, integrity and quality than China. In Taiwan, religion is allowed and openly practiced (Buddhism, mostly). In Taiwan, there is a sense of responsibility to customers. There is a philosophy of striving for quality. Taiwan is to China like revolutionary America was to the British Empire. Taiwan is a island nation of hard-working, creative, innovative entrepreneurs, and when I look to import products from Asia, I always try to find it in Taiwan first because I know Taiwan means quality.

But in China, it’s exactly the opposite: There is no sense of responsibility to customers. The overriding philosophy is to screw the customer, even on the very first order, knowing that the customer will never buy from you again! In China, the idea is to CHEAT people rather than make them happy. You see this all the way to the top of the government which is, of course, a police state communist regime where laws are enforced at gunpoint against a completely disarmed and helpless population that has no rights. China is a culture of corruption, deception and exploitation.

Now, of course, there are people in China who rebel against all this. There are exceptions to the rule, and there may even be some honest organic food producers in China that buck the trend. Not all mainland Chinese are bad people. Many wish to overthrow the corrupt government and restore freedom, liberty and justice to the country. But because they are all disarmed (China has no Bill of Rights), they are powerless against a dictatorial government. They are slaves to the system.

Health Ranger Select Brand BANS All Foods, Superfoods and Ingredients From China Except for Goji Berries

I made a decision months ago to ban anything produced in China from my own label, with the exception being goji berries. If a food, superfood or supplement has my name on it, I will not use ingredients sourced from China unless I know and can VERIFY the end-product cleanliness of the product.

So if you see the “Health Ranger Select” brand or the “Storable Organics” brand, know that it’s clean and very carefully sourced.

We source from the USA, Canada, European countries, Peru and even Thailand for some ingredients. Mexico is acceptable for some ingredients as well. But China is a big red flag. I simply can’t trust that most foods, superfoods or supplements from China are going to be consistently clean and honest.

China is the kind of country where you order a sample of a raw material — say pomegranate juice powder — and the first batch you receive is really clean and passes all the lab tests. So you order 5000kg of the stuff, and when it arrives, it’s all full of lead and pesticides.

Chinese medicine herbs from China are notoriously contaminated with lead. The same is true for green tea and many other ingredients that naturally absorb heavy metals.

All sorts of products at Whole Foods, by the way, are grown in China but certified “organic.” What a joke.

Given that China has virtually no environmental enforcement whatsoever, the very idea that something grown in China can be certified “organic” is absurd. Without a clean environment, you can’t product clean food even if you follow organic growing standards.

So why do so many formulators and food companies in the USA still buy ingredients from China? Because they’re CHEAP.

  6. ChinkCom’s LIES just gets better and better. Where do you get this info, from ChinkHuaHua search engine? It’s like a comedy show. LOL

  7. You can find it all over your master’s internet. The U.S.A. stole from the Soviets to make the F-35. The U.S.A. will arrest without proof of anything and blame anyone that is remotely slant-eyed, Mexican, and black as it has in its Hillbilly history.

  8. Is that what your master taught you? Did you see another ChinkCom Kleptomaniac was arrested 8 weeks ago in Chicago airport with trade secret documentation. Chinese Civilization = #1 KLEPTOMANIAC!

  9. Chinkhuahua, you are sooo ugly, not even a blind girl would want you. She can detect a low class from miles away!. You are sooo ugly, even your mama had to laugh!!

  10. Who would want a butt ugly Chinkhuahua like you? You are so ugly, not even a blind girl would want you. Perhaps they can detect a psycho reject like you.

  11. Who would want a butt ugly Chinkhuahua like you? Sounds to me not even a blind girl would want you. Perhaps they can detect a psycho reject like you from miles away

  12. Low class like you are nit qualify Chinkhuahua. Sounds to me not even a blind girl would want you. Perhaps they can detect a psycho reject like you from miles away

  13. What’s wrong with your pea size chili? Is this why you cannot find a girl friend? Or are you butt ugly so no girls would look at you?

  14. Chinkhuahua, what are you trying to say? What is this hot chili?
You make no sense. Is this why you have NO girlfriends? Are you ugly? Could it be you ate considered a low class that’s why you can’t find anyone?

  15. Anybody can go on the internet without hacking, get dimensions and paint job to make a plane look exactly like the F-35. If it was a duplicate then there is no reason for two thrusters. The F-35 stole the exact VTOL concept (not to mention stealth mathematics) from the Soviets, which an F-35 designer said was Lockheed’s unique idea – pure BS.

  16. And this is a surprise? Today’s winning play means continuous innovation. Our new designs are already miles ahead of the decade old tech in production jets. China can copy production, can it match innovation?

  17. Raymanch Like to sex with your lovely wife and you baby girls for 50 cents then sell them to China for a second hands. It’s a best offer for you. Have some more i will give you .35 cents each!

  18. Context is everything. But my mistake, you’re a Rush Limbaugh type of guy. People that shun education end up not giving credence to context. Point taken

  19. Black smoke could mean water injection too. Ever see a wet take off of a B52 or KC135? Black smoke everywhere. Helps cool engines, and give more thrust.

  21. Give it some time and these former US allies and vassal states will be lining up for Chinese weapons. Just look at how the US whines about when Turkey decided to buy Chinese missile defense system over both the US and EU kind that were both inferior in technically and price wise.

  22. Glad to hear you are no longer subscribing to the crap that is Apple. One of the most tax evading, slave labour, price and wage fixing cheats on Earth. Nothing more than a glorified software company that simply rebrands all existing technology as their own and the sheep are sucked in to thinking they are buying something new. I was given an iphone from work, I used it for one day, and after concluding it was 4 years behind everything else, I vowed to never use such crap ever again.

One of the cheapest made phones on the market with an OS that is years behind Android, from a company that doesn’t actually manufacture anything. No thanks! At the end of the day Apple have really had almost no impact whatsoever on mobile technology, but thanks to one of the best marketing teams around, people buy that crap nonetheless. Oh well, with only 18% market share, no great loss in my book.

  23. I figured you were one of those brainwashed Fox News conservatives. Listen to the good reverend’s entire sermon and you’ll understand his statements in the proper context.

  24. Could also be that Lockheed-Martin are scamming us. Remeber the Chinese version works and is flying. If they can do it and they didn’t have R&D then how come theirs works and the american version does not?

  25. China is a giant which is standing on one leg. I envision China will collapse in the near future. The world will be much better without their existence.

  26. The F35 is a single engine jet clumsily designed around the need to accommodate vtol. J31 is 2 engines with no compromise for vtol. They couldn’t be more different. Plus none of the software to operate the overengineered F35 was in existence at the time of the hack. We ought to steal the Chinese plans and actually build a serviceable fighter.

  27. Apple products are of such poor product quality its shocking the minions buy this junk. never ever will buy an apple and ive had the 4, 5 and 6. All died after a year and all had problems from the start

  28. Maybe they could call it the iFighter. Designed in America, but made using cheap crap parts made in China. Just relabel it and sell it for billions. Apple have been doing it for years. Works a treat.

  29. Of the brands you mentioned, lenovo and xiaomi are chinese. Do you have a xiaomi phone. I never will. The ccp will have access to your phone without you knowing it.

  30. No. The American government is studying China. They are not afraid. They are the ones that liberated the world including China. I was not the CCP.

  31. True indeed. Still China needs a smack down now. China needs to establish a national moral compass that the rest of the world more or less lives by.

  32. You need to understand that in China, Cheat, Steal, Lie ..is just part of their daily life. So theres no shame in doing your normal routine…

  33. The picture of J-31 shown in above article is not the upcoming J-31, because SAC have redesigned it and last year they showed mockup of new design, the real issue is engines, if China can come up with engines which fulfill 5th gen requirements then this bird will be very potent in good NCW environment.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k533kXsRh0o

  34. They stole it dummy, but they didn’t steal enough to make it right. They haven’t mastered how to make the engine turbine fan blades yet. Their’s melt if they stay in it to long. They don’t have the heads up display helmet or the software to use the weapons systems on it.

  35. It’s all a political show, maybe Obama and Kim Jon Ill are best buddies and are watching basketball in the white house together… and Putin is having breakfast with the queen of England right now.

  36. I’m into full of surprise. when did the US sell the F-35s to China? Even the Russians would not do that. One moment we mouth-fight with the Chinese, the next we join military exercise with the Chinese. What on earth is going on?

  37. they probably will if war broke out tomorrow, but they will give US their money’s worth. But who wants a fully fledged war given that everyone has nukes.

  38. THIS IS A PIECE OF JUNK WITH STOLEN EAQUIPMENT. TRUST IS A MAJOR ISSUE WHEN YOURE SPENDING BILLIONS ON MILITARY EQUIPMENT. THE WORLD KNOWS THE U.S. MILITARY TECH IS SUPERIOR TO ANYTHING ELSE AND IN THE END WHEN YOURE INA BATTLE……YOU WANT TO HAVE THE BEST.

  39. I an an aerospace engineer. The F-35 was defeated by a F-16 in a dogfight. Are Viets that stupid and dumb? Maybe from Agent Orange? LOL!

  42. Everybody knows the Chinese steal intellectual property like it’s the national pastime. The people that should be getting the crap beaten out of them is:
    1. The cybersecurity “experts” and Lockheed Martin who apparently got their asses handed to them by Chinese hackers
    2. The US Government for not more strictly monitoring and testing their subcontractors cyber defenses for weaknesses
Don’t forget that the billions spent on developing and acquiring the F-35 is entirely paid for by the US Taxpayer which means at the end of the day the Chinese stole from the US People.

  43. The cost will be a major advantage for the Chinese to position themselves to grab a large share of the stealth fighter world market. The aircraft will come without any imperialist political strings attached, unlike US planes. The Russians will also benefit from a lower cost stealth fighter alternative. The US must face the fact that they are now pricing themselves out of the market, caused by the huge cost overruns and the influence of the military industrial complex. With the higher cost of only selling to the domestic market, the US will not be able to afford to buy its own aircraft. US allies are now starting to balk at purchasing the F-35 at all, because they have serious budget concerns also.

  44. Stealing ideas does not count for time spent on engineering, design and testing. China was efficient at stealing, not producing or inventing. Well, they did invent a new way to ‘invent’ – stealing. Ha ha!

  45. Reaper
Cos these are Chinese/Russian trolls not wanting their names drag down into ridicule and ego-damaging rants. They prefer to stay on top while they do their dirty works.

  46. F-35 copycat, Chinese trolls have no shame. Thick-faced cheaters still have guts to showcase what they stole from someone. Just look at this plane (J-31), a complete replica of US F-35 and here they are showing it off as if it was not a fake copied design, an obvious stolen technology. Sick perverted fools, the world should teach this maggots proper manners.

  47. China has no honor. They will suffer an embarrassing defeat by the US military. Perhaps China is using war as a ploy to cull their population.

  48. Actually, they are getting better at copying thanks to our corporate greed handing them our know how but this is only consumer based technologies. I am certain their military technologies are lifetime behind USA.

  49. Ripoff is always not as good as the original, unless they innovate and improve it, but a copycat always fail specially the original they copied fails also.

  50. This is a fifth generation stealth fighter produced by China, funny but I don’t remember any articles with or without pictures of the other 4 stealth fighters produced by China.

  51. War against white Americans? You talking the one Nixon started in about 1970, our War Against Drugs?
If you Google U.S. incarceration rate, you will find:
716 per 100,000 of the national population. While the United States represents about 4.4 percent of the world’s population, it houses around 22 percent of the world’s prisoners.

That’s a lot of white Americans, as well as every other variety, some in for life for marijuana.
Republicans have been waging wars against poor white Americans for a long time, and then successfully deflecting the blame to others, as cowards do.

  52. Again, this article is planted, I am starting to believe that this sites articles are influenced by some type of Intelligence Agency. The whole purpose is to try to read tea leaves. I have been watching this site for a while and all I see is some type of external intelligence gathering going on in these comments.
These guys want you to comment with experience, with stories, with perceived expertise, with feeling, they are looking for something or someone.
This looks smart enough to be Chinese but savvy enough to be Russian, not sure exactly yet.

  53. Maybe Lockheed provided a decoy set of blueprints that have known disadvantages. US pilots would know which maneuvers to perform to get the best shot. Or the plane would simply fall apart under certain g-forces.

  54. “Bang for the Buck” is what you’re describing, and it doesn’t matter when in combat the only “bang” the pilot of this poor knock-off of an aircraft is going to get is when he hits the ground.

  55. I suspect the US already has one for study. During the earlier cold war…Russia was shipping a few of their newest jets to a Polish military airbase in crates by train. . According to a story, while the train was stopped somewhere in Poland or Russia, one of the crated aircraft was hustled off crate and all then quickly flown to the US where it was assembled, tested, photographed etc…re-crated and returned to its original destination within less than a weeks time and without the Russians or Poles ever being the wiser. The greatest heist the CIA and another agency ever pulled off, and some Russian and Polish Generals received wonderful xmas gifts that year.

  56. Kh@n and Polin@ are two of the most BS “journalist” known to man. Since when is making up complete lies considered journalism? Okay, i know the liberal MSM is just as bad.

  57. Ho Chi Minh, Your grant father just a Students. It’s a long way to learn from your master. That’s why The Vietnamese government are knee down in Beijing every time they meet the master.

  58. Might want to update your posts with current information on US Navy Nimitz-class Aircraft Carrier flight operations. As in US Carriers can launch and recover simultaneously, launch a maximum of 4 aircraft per minute. I doubt China will reach that standard for some time.

When you are good, you are good. US Navy setting the standards.

  60. Twice nothing is still nothing for this Chinese toy. No where near a match for western aircraft, would be like shooting skeet for them. PULL!! Another low class Chinese fighter down, another one bites the dust. Basically a flying coffin for the pilot.

Total rookie military from the top down, no credible real world combat experience. Nothing but conscripts.

  61. Thang Nguyen need to laughing your head’s off. Vietnam can’t even copy or make a Bicycle that design by your Vietnamese. The Vietnamese are so proud of selling their Women all over the world like S. Korea, Taiwan, China, Malaysia, Cambodia,Thailand Etc. Now, Singapore doesn’t allow Vietnamese women into the Country. I am sure you’re laugh so hard for that. Right?

  62. Look at the fume of the exhaust of the plane

Like what happened the last time, when China flew this so called latest Stealth Jet Fighter, US Experts noticed that the fumes were black not the normal White colored type.
And the experts said that it is a sign that the Engine being used is quite under performing .

And the chances is that China is using the engine of an old MIG-29 on this so called Sixth Generation Fighter Jets……

    Its all for show.
Just like the Aircraft Carrier (Liaoning) that China showcased
Not only it only can launch 1 aircraft for every 30 Minutes (US Carriers can launch 1 in every 5 minutes), the survivability of the Liaoning (on a full scale war) is less than 3 Hours……

  63. Yes we don’t need to say , because they did, but the question is: “Will any other countries trust “Made in China” such a high tech fighter? Dream on.

  64. Ha!Ha!Ha!”Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) introduced this aircraft with an aim to provide competition to Lockheed Martin’s F-35 Joint Strike Fighter.” This make me laugh so hard; They should call it “Chinese STEAL Copier” Stole the design from the USA, copy technology little from USA little from Russian, quality from China; Who want to buy them? may be some little countries from Africa.

  65. Yeah I used to build model planes to…looked like the real thing on the outside, but nothing on the inside. Looks like the Chinese have achieved the same thing.

  66. To hack is too different from inventing coz even if your the best hacker known building a jet plane is another…This Khan is a warmonger. I’ve been reading a few of his article and all points that way

  67. Japan has been a high tech economy since the 70’s while China just started this decade. China is about 40-50 years behind Japan, US and Europe.

  68. I agree copy or no copy, it dosent matter, China is capable of producing fighter jets as good as any other super power nation,… The things to consider is how it would perform in combat, as we all know a Gucci bag made in Italy is not the same as the Gucci bag made in China, they always have flaws… But who know…

  69. Ho, u r full of The japs did the same things. They lie, cheat, and steal from the west to become a world power during WWII.
This is pure Sun Tsu. Know your enemy. Pretty soon the US will have to copy from the copy cats. No country has come so far and so fast.

  70. Chinese hackers were able to bridge Lockheed Martin’s database? With that power Chinese don’t need to copy and paste planes, they have already won the war agains the US.

  71. Don’t need to say “copy”, “steal”,…, such sour grape minded words. The key point is “to have” or “not to have”. Now China is going “to have” such an advanced air craft.

It is important and meaningful to make functional and economical comparison between China’s J-31 and US F-35. How much function China’s J-31 can get per each dollar and how much function US J-35 can get per each dollar. How long (many years) China used to develop the J-31 and how long (many years) US used to develop F-35. Those are important because those represents how efficient the workers (including scientists, engineers, managers, labors, etc..) of China and US.

  72. This chinese knock-off is just like any chinese knockoffs like those cheap chinese tools bought at harbor freights. They look nice and they seem to have all the functions, but they won’t ever work right and fall apart after a few uses. A chinese knockoff will always be a chinese knockoff. you get what you pay for in the end.

  73. I like that “5TH GENERATION” Like they’ve had this s** t for a long time! I seem to remember when we killed bin laden (if we did?) our pakitani friends let the chineese have our busted helicopter? DAMN! that was already 5 generations ago?

  74. Two engines instead of one. Larger wings for more maneuverability. If the Chinese had copied the F35, it would have a fighter that can’t even beat the F16, a fighter whose guns won’t fire, seat ejector won’t eject ….etc.

They must have a faulty copy machine.

  75. This is how governments keep their claws into their citizens! share the secrets with any other government! but if a citizen even looks in the wrong direction jail their a-s for life!

  76. So we spend billions designing and developing this jet, thanks to the military industrial complex running prices up to completely illogical amounts, and some Chinese military nerds take it all for free and have a jet flying before our’s are even in service? Wtf!!! This is why having everything on computers, and more importantly having everything internet accessible, is completely stupid! A nation’s security should not be trusted to the same network that a common person checks their yahoo email on.

  77. It will have an AESA radar. That technology is very common now a days and nothing special. Using a parachute helps to extend engine life and lower maintance requirements. Keep underestimating the Chinese and the Russians. When the time of reckoning comes, the surprise will be that much nastier.

  78. It’s suppose to be a stealth aircraft so if somebody could get a radar signature, it’s not a stealth aircraft.
If you mean the other radar signature (the radar signal produced by the aircraft) then we could see if it was a true AESA radar or somebody stuck a radar in it that you could pick up at a boating store. My guess is that it doesn’t use an AESA radar.
Russian aircraft have a slow stagger takeoff rate of 30 seconds or more between aircraft and they use a parachute system to slow down when landing. I believe this aircraft has both flaws.

  79. Chinese is totally different from Japanese. Their culture and mindset are cheats, steal and lie I’m not very optimistic about China.

  80. This is more closely designed after the F-22. With the unstealth bare metal exhaust nozzles, less stealthy. The F-35 is a single engined plane. Most of China’s jets are Russian knock offs.

  81. Give them time. When i was young and we had a Japanese toy that would break, we laughed and said, made in Japan, we are not laughing anymore.

  82. “Steeling” or “stealing” the good thing is if it has flown into Dubai…that means we have its radar signature…THANKS!!!
