Goldgenie accepted five orders for the $15,220 version on launch day
In case the original iPhone 6 was too cheap for you, Goldgenie is presenting the Diamond Ecstasy limited edition iPhone 6 that you may be interested in. The British luxury brand’s iPhones are not meant for the masses. Its most expensive custom-made iPhone 6 costs £2.3 million ($3.5 million), while the cheapest version will set you back by a mere $15,220.
A special edition iPhone 6 for Gulf buyers
The bespoke devices are finished in either 24-carat gold, rose gold or platinum. Goldgenie takes a regular iPhone 6 and coats it will your choice of gold, rose gold or platinum. Then it coats the edges of the device with hundreds of diamonds. You can choose to have it coated with traditional white diamonds, black diamonds, pink diamonds, sapphire, topaz, emeralds, rubies or tanzanite.

Goldgenie fills in the Apple logo on the back of the phone with precious stones of your choice, including Swarovski crystals. However, the front of the iPhone 6 is not modified. And then there is the Gulf Elite limited edition. These come with the same 24-carat gold, platinum and rose gold. But people from the Gulf countries can get the Coat of Arms of their respective country (Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and UAE) engraved on the back of the device. Buyers in the Gulf countries love gold-plated iPhones.
Get your iPhone 6 customized with your own choice of precious metals
Goldgenie said that it had received five orders for the $15,220 version on launch day. A Goldgenie spokesperson told Amanda Kooser of CNet that the company offers clients the option to customize their devices with their own choice of precious metals. What’s more, you can choose to have your name engraved on the back of the phone. Your iPhone 6 will arrive at your doorstep in stunning cherry-oak finished boxes (below).
Earlier this month, the world’s first 7-star hotel Burj Al Arab asked London-based Gold & Co to design 15 gold-plated iPhone 6 to commemorate its 15th anniversary. The limited edition iPhone 6 units were coated with black and yellow gold. The Burj Al Arab-branded iPhones were priced at $13,040 for the black gold version and $12,223 for the yellow gold-plated one.
